RESUMEN
Drilling and blasting mining process is the first stage of aggregates extraction
for construction materials manufacturing. So, obtaining a high quality, cheap
and competitive products are so important. In this paper an open pit blasting
optimization methodology is described, using several tools to get the most
accurate data to know and quantify the actual blasting parameters. Thus,
three phases are established: blast design tools, monitoring tools and analysis
tools. Merging those three phases, and through a right results interpretation,
an optimum mining process results can be obtained. Thereby, a right borehole
drilling pattern could be designed to ensure a correct blasting performance, both
in energy distribution and timing. Tools used are based on using laser
techniques, digital blast monitoring and simulation and prediction software.
Thus, environmental effects can be managed properly, such as vibrations,
flyrock and airblast. Methodology described consists on a cyclic method, and
data obtained in each stage can be used as a next stage feedback.
Using that methodology, computerized blast can be achieved.

RESUMEN
ABSTRACT
This article show analysis and design drilling and blasting operation on surface
mining it focus on structured programming.
The idea about this article a program where you can introduce different
variables like, explosive density, diameter, inclination drilling,
compressive strength rock and rock mass design, after that, we get most
important variables for this design like rock mass height, burden,
spacing, hole charging , hole number, load factor.
This article has allowed design drilling and blasting operation a lower time and
get down mistake of the people that get it for repetitive use
of calculation for parameter used in this design in drilling and blasting operation
on surface mining

Resumen
Abstract
In the unitary operation of drilling and blasting it is very frequent that errors
associated with deviations from exploitation works occur.
Errors such as improper positioning of the jumbo arm, little parallelism
between perforations, irregular lengths of the holes and poor
symmetry of the mining front, allow blasting to be inefficient. Thus, from the data
measured at the “El Roble” mine, located in Chocó,
there is an associated improvement in the use of tools such as magnetic
inclinometer, the use of PVC guide tubes, the 5 m flexometer and
the rigorous layout of the Mesh of drilling in the front, to assure the slope of the
exploitation work and to reduce the deviations. In this way
the progress of the exploitation work are improved above 90%, recovering lost
tons by 90.2% and reducing costs per meter of advance by
13% is improved.

ABSTRAC
Thus the Poracota mine has a bad rock, creating instability in the work, for that
reason it justifies the controlled blasting through the use of rods on which are
placed to different spaces sensitive dynamite cartridges of greater or lesser degree
according to the blasting batch from the front. According to previous blasting
diagnoses, it was verified that they produced over excavation of the work
perimeter between 12 to 15%, causing it to be unstable and with the use of greater
support elements. With the application of the cane technique, good blasting was
obtained , without damage to the crown and gables, where you can see the half
rods and therefore work well profiled and stable. There is no major disturbance or
over excavation of the work, all this, taking into account the classification of the
macizorocoso and the depth of the drill.
