2019 SPS Online Summer School

Registration Deadline: June 21 2019
Who:​ ​SPS Online Summer School is ​open to any current or incoming high school
student attending a Springfield Public School high school and living in the
Springfield attendance are.

When:​ Summer school begins July 1st (Monday) and ends July 19th at 9:00 pm
(Friday). ​No course extension will be given​.

July 1st is our Orientation Day​ for SPS Online's Summer School. ​Students must
attend 1 of 3 different orientation sessions.​ Sessions will only take about an hour
(maybe less). You will receive an email with orientation times once we receive and
process your completed enrollment form.

What:​ ​Original credit courses (no credit recovery) will be offered in Language Arts,
Science, Math, Health, Spanish, and Social Studies content areas. Because of the short
time period, students may take ​only​ ​one course​ ​at a time​. The curriculum is delivered
through a web-based learning management system. Students need to be able to work
independently in order to earn credit, but can ask their teacher questions via email at
any time if they have content or technical difficulties. Credit will be awarded upon
satisfactory completion of assigned curriculum. ​You may view our summer school

Where:​ Students are not required to come to a location to do their work. Students may
work from home or from anywhere they can access a computer with an internet
connection.
Minimum Hardware Requirements:​ Students are expected to have access to a
working computer (no computers will be loaned out to students) with a reliable internet
connection.
How Much (Cost):​ ​Students will be charged a fee of ​$50.00 per course taken​.
Students who ​pass​ their course(s) will receive a refund of $25.00 per course passed.

application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email​. To ensure a spot
in the SPS Online's Summer School Program, ​please make checks payable to
Springfield Public Schools and drop off or send it to the address below:
