1) why should we hire you?

Ans: I have the experience and attitude to excel in this


network support engineer position. I have two years of
experience as technical support at information services lab
– where I was exposed to all aspects of customers support
and basic troubleshooting. Also I have some experience
configuring cisco routers and switches. I have the
reputation to get things done and with a smile on my face.
that’s because I am excited to learn and get experience in
every way possible.

2) Are you familiar with the Meraki Matchmaking


program?
Ans: I read about your matchmaking program, and think
that it is genius. The fact that when you added a bonus
factor to the referral program and saw many referrals
coming in which is incredible. Every company should be
executing their own version of this!

3) What does the word 'innovation' mean to you?


Ans: To me, innovation means presenting a new idea or
making an existing idea better. It's important to be
innovative in the workplace. An example while working for
support I always looked for ways to solve the problem as
fast as possible and thus finding innovative ways to get
around a problem.
4) Do you feel it is essential to develop relationships with
your co-workers?
Ans: I value my relationships with my co-workers because
we support each other and make each other laugh when the
work environment becomes intense. I had a co-worker we
had lunch with every day. We've helped each other out by
simply listening to what's going on in each other's lives. It's
nice to have colleagues who understand you on a personal
level.

5) What do you know about the company culture at


Meraki?
Ans: "I have come to know through employees who has
worked for Meraki and they have wonderful things to say
about the team building experiences here as well as the fact
that you work hard to encourage employee career growth.
I look forward to learning, and experiencing more!"

6) How do you handle communicating bad news to a


fellow worker or subordinate?
Ans: "I certainly do not enjoy communicating bad news to a
co-worker. I make sure to practice empathy. Truth is always
key, so I will be honest and clear when communicating the
news.
7) Tech is constantly changing. When have you shown a
willingness to learn a new method?
Ans: while working as customer support, company switched
the ticket management system from BMC to Cherwell
ticketing system. I quickly tried adapting to the new
dashboard by getting help from various sources. It helped a
great deal, and my employers were impressed with my
willingness to learn.

8) How do you like to be recognized for your


accomplishments?
Ans: best way for me to be recognized for a job well done is
to hear words of kindness and recognition. I am easily
encouraged, and the best reward for me is to know that my
hard work matters.

9) Tell me about a time when you were in danger of


missing a deadline. What did you do?
Ans: "My team and I were recently under a deadline to
complete a global employee satisfaction survey. Our
deadline was set to execute the project from start to finish
within six weeks.

10) How long will it take you to make a meaningful


contribution to our team?
Ans: my impact here will be immediate. I like to learn quickly
and will be immersing myself in your training modules the
moment you give me the green light!
11) Of the four product families at Meraki, which
interests you the most?
Ans: I have an interest in all things tech and digital so truly,
I would be happy in any area. Of the four, if I had to choose
one, I would say that Switches is the area I am best versed."

12) We want to hire people at Meraki who have the


desire to lead others. How many people did you
supervise at your last position?
Ans: Although I did not officially supervise anyone in my
most recent position, I always had my eye out for
opportunities to lead or mentor the more junior staff.

13) What do you think you will like about this role with
Meraki?
Ans: I am looking forward to getting more experience in
cloud managed IT services for enterprise-level companies,
and feel that Meraki is the best place for me. Also I love the
idea of troubleshooting any technology and I can jump right
in solving any issues I come across.

Ans: I would describe my personality as approachable and
sincere. I believe that, if asked, my colleagues and
supervisor would say the same about me.

Ans: Although I have not worked with a team based
messaging application, I am confident that I would learn
very quickly. Which team based messaging apps do you use
at Meraki?

before beginning a project or would you instead jump
right in?
Ans: I agree that research is the backbone of a strong
project. Without it, important details are missed and much
time is wasted. I like to research before starting a project so
that I can lay out a plan and understand the potential
hurdles as well.
20) Looking at our products and services, what do you
think we do better at Meraki than any of our
competitors?
Ans: When I was preparing for this interview I noticed that
Meraki was given The Red Dot Design Award for the MC74
product design. When I read that your product was chosen
out of 5,500 products from 54 countries, I was highly
impressed!

21) At Meraki, we take pride in our ability to stay one


step ahead of our competitors. How will you contribute
to this trend?
Ans: I think that the best way to stay ahead of competitors
is to keep your projects as simple as possible while
remaining innovative. People want simple, easy products,
which they can understand.

22) This role with Meraki is highly technical. What is


your understanding of this position and the
responsibilities that come with it?
Ans: My understanding is that you seek a candidate with
expert level skills in troubleshooting cisco routers and
switches and who can work well alongside other support
engineers. I can perform these functions very well.
23) We seek to hire highly ambitious people. Where
would you like your career with Meraki to take you?
Ans: One of the reasons I was so excited to interview with
Meraki is because of the endless growth opportunities you
appear to offer your high performing employees. I recently
read an article on Medium, discussing the incredible growth
culture present at Meraki. I have a keen interest in the
network/system engineer role. and of course this will take
many years of hard work and dedication.

24) What would you consider your technical specialty?


Ans: Computing and Network Communications has always
been a solid area for me. I have a big interest in how
network communication improves our daily lives.

25) How do you keep up-to-date on new technologies


and trends in this industry
Ans: I keep up to date on new technologies and trends
through a variety of sources. I follow different blogs from
industry leaders as well as read multiple articles online
from reliable sources such as TechCrunch and Mashable.

26) What causes you to feel dissatisfied on the job?


Ans: I can feel dissatisfaction on the job when I am not
feeling heard or when there is not mutual respect among
the team members. I work best in more harmonious
situations where there is little drama or gossip. I appreciate
that Meraki puts so much effort into ensuring harmonious
coworker relationships
27) Do you think honesty is always the best policy?
Ans: I do feel that honesty is the best policy so long as the
honest comment does not come with the intention of being
hurtful.
