Officer

Department : Corporate Planning &


Development

Reports to : Manager Systems and Procedures

Main purpose of post : To conduct investigations into processes and


working methods, to recommend improved
methods in order to improve productivity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Grade12 with Work Study Diploma with 2 years experience

KEY OUTPUTS OF POST

OUTPUT : Improved process recommendations

DEFINITION : Investigates processes using standard work study techniques,


identifies inefficiencies and improvements, compiles reports for
superior in order to improve productivity.

OUTPUT : Improved working methods

DEFINITION : Conducts work study analysis of individual working methods,


analyses method, devises improvements and compiles report
for superior on improvements in order to improve productivity.

OUTPUT : Reports

DEFINITION : Compiles reports outlining operational problems, findings and


recommendations in order to advise management on methods
for solving operational problems and to improve productivity.

OUTPUT : Productivity advice

DEFINITION : Advice to management on the maintenance and improvement of


productivity.

OUTPUT : Resolved operational problems

DEFINITION : Assists management in the resolution of delays, inefficient


methods, backlogs, etc, in order to improve operational
efficiency.
