Materials:
 MyLabsPlus
 Binder. There will be many handouts.
 TI83 or TI84 or TI84+. (TI89 are not allowed in this course)
 You will not need a text book, as there is an e-text built into the MyLabsPlus program.

Homework/MyLabsPlus:
To be successful in this course, you must complete daily assignments in MyLabPlus.
MyLabsPlus is a requirement for this course.
You will be able to attempt these homework assignments in MyLabsPlus as often as you want
until the DEADLINE DATE. Do not wait until the last day to complete these assignments or
you may run out of time.

How to Log IN to MyLabsPlus:

Go to D2L.
Go to our section MAT110.011
Hit ‘COURSE MATERIAL’
Hit ‘CONTENT’ on the drop down menu.
You will then see the ‘MyLabPlus’ single sign in which will take you straight to the
website.
All your homework will be in MyLabsPlus under ‘ASSIGNMENT’.
*Each unit homework is due by 8:00am of that test day. Do not wait
until last minute to complete the homework.

Tests: There will be 3 scheduled tests. (See schedule for tentative dates). If you miss a test for
any reason, you will receive a zero for that test. There will be NO makeups for missed tests.
However, I will replace your lowest test grade with the final exam grade, if it is higher. (I will
only replace one test). This means that if you miss a test, you won’t be penalized for this. In
order to be fair to those who make an effort to attend regularly, there will be no exceptions to
this policy. Don’t ask.

IF you are caught CHEATING, your test will automatically be

taken and you will receive a ZERO on that test.

GRADING:

Tutoring:
 The Math Center located in 920/211 has a tutoring lab. Call 843.574.6409 if you wish to
set up tutor times.
 Office hours: The times listed at the top of the page are designated just for you and
those are times you can expect to find me in my office. You can stop by during the hours
listed and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
 Hire a tutor: If you start to feel really behind, you may want to consider hiring a tutor. It
is very important to keep up with the work and don’t fall behind in trigonometry.

Student Evaluation of Instructor: Later in the term, institutional research will be sending you
an email to your mytridenttech.edu account inviting you to complete an online evaluation of
your instructors. Please do not delete this email until you have completed the online form using
the link provided. Student feedback helps me improve the course as well as my methods of
instruction, and I welcome your participation.

Extra Credit: If you receive a 100% on each of the unit sections homework, you will receive 5
extra points on that unit test.
