Description Standard Features

Vigilant Site Monitor (VSM™) is a family of software products that
work with Vigilant VS Series fire alarm control panels to provide
end users with clear, concise, and coordinated site incident infor-
mation. Two versions are available: one with graphic capability for
displaying locations by map or photo; while the other version is
text-based and has no graphics capabilities.
The unique VSM interface presents real-time and archived mes-
sages in an intuitive and highly understandable format by organ-
izing the screen into visually distinct, yet coordinated display areas.
These display areas are structured for at-a-glance access to
increasingly detailed levels of information.
Graphics versions, for example, will show the location of the high-
est priority incident on a map or aerial photo, while in other display
areas simultaneously providing incident details and a list of active
occurrences being logged by VSM system-wide. Text-only ver-
sions provide location details without the use of maps or photos.
In addition to this structured display of information, VSM also
color-codes each message according its priority. This offers visual
cues that alert the viewer instantly to any change of status or
newly logged incident.
VSM software can connect to up to 1,000 VS control panels
locally over a LAN, or remotely over the internet. It also supports
SMTP email notification of status changes.
