COURSE DESCRIPTION 
A. Course description 
IvySpace Lifestyle English is a comprehensive language course designed for learners 
who need to use English in both professional and everyday contexts. Through this 
course, learners will focus on developing oral communication skills in the contexts of 
public speaking and general interpersonal dialogue. The curriculum is broken down 
into two levels - low intermediate and high intermediate - which cover the same 
content areas, but are tailored to teach skills that are level-appropriate for students.  
 
B. Learning Outcomes 
● Formal speaking​ - Students will be able to deliver presentations, conduct 
formal meetings with colleagues and supervisors, build relationships with 
other working professionals 
● Informal speaking​ - Students will be able to comfortably engage in general 
interpersonal communication on everyday life topics, including travel, hobbies 
and interests, social activities, etc. 
● Listening​ - Students will be able to understand contemporary American 
English in formal and informal contexts 
 
C. Course structure 
Format: 1-on-5 online video conference 
Lessons: 12, one-hour long lessons

D. Content 
Materials will be provided by IvySpace. Please note that lesson content is for 
reference; curriculum may be updated based on student progress and individual
