The woman who I’ll be talking about has many titles: mother, teacher, learner, etc. She is
the very woman who gave birth to me, my mother. She is a person who shaped my being both
literally and emotionally. First being my creator in a sense, then being my mother. Through my
many steps from childhood to adulthood, she has been there the whole time. She has been the
person who has helped me move past from experiences and grow from them. She taught me how
to wipe my butt, how to read a book, and put clothes on my body. Without having my mother, I
would most definitely be a different person. It’s quite simple, I wouldn’t have had the same
experiences with another mother besides my own. Yes, they may have been similar, but nothing
in comparison with my real mother. I do not know how I would’ve turned out if I weren’t her
son.
My mother is someone who is kind, loving & strong. She believes in her ideals and fights
for them. Because of her strong will, she is also very stubborn. My mother always believes that
she is right even when she is wrong. From my mother I have learned that although she is
amazing, she isn’t perfect. She taught me that no one in the world is perfect and that I shouldn’t
expect perfectness out of people because they are only human. She taught me to empathize with
Because my mother’s influence, I believe that I am the loud, kind of outspoken person
that I am. I have learned to fight for my own ideals even if they go against her own. She has
inadvertently taught me to have a will of my own and persist in any goal with determination. In
the future, I’m sure that it will partially become what it will be due to my mother. Whether or not
she disagrees or agrees with my decision will not matter because she has taught me to believe in
myself.
