1 Product description

ChemFil® Superior restorative is a fast-setting glass ionomer restorative material consisting of

a blend of alumino silicate glass and polyacrylic acid. The powder is mixed with distilled water to
produce a filling material which adheres to dentin and enamel producing tightly sealed, strong and
esthetic restorations.

ChemFil® Superior restorative is available in seven shades:

• L – Light, similar to VITA® 1 shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, similar to VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, similar to VITA® shade A2
• LG – Light-Grey, similar to VITA® shade B2
• DG – Dark-Grey, similar to VITA® shade D4
• DY – Dark-Yellow, similar to VITA® shade A3
• GB – Grey-Brown, similar to VITA® shade A4

ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser may be used for conditioning of the cavity surface to enhance cavity
cleaning and therefore adhesion.

ChemVarnish™ is recommended to protect glass ionomer restorations from moisture contamina-

tion and dehydration during or immediately after setting.

1.1 Delivery forms

1.3 Indications
Suitable for:
• Restoration of Class I and II cavities of deciduous teeth.
• Restoration of Class III cavities.
• Restoration of Class V lesions and cavities.
• Temporary and semi-permanent restorations.
• Fissure fillings (minimal Class I cavities).

1.4 Contraindications
• Direct or indirect application to dental pulp (direct or indirect pulp-capping).
• Permanent restoration of occlusal stress-bearing areas.

2 Safety notes

Be aware of the following general safety notes and the special safety notes in other chapters of
these Instructions for Use.

• This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury
hazards.
• Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury.

2.1 Warnings
ChemVarnish™ contains ethyl acetate and may be irritating to skin, eyes and oral mucosa.
ChemFil® Superior and ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser are acidic and may cause burns.
• Avoid eye contact to prevent irritation and possible corneal damage. In case of contact with
eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

 • Avoid skin contact to prevent irritation. In case of contact, reddish rashes may be seen on the
skin. If contact with skin occurs, remove material with cotton and wash thoroughly with soap and
water.
• Avoid contact with oral soft tissues/mucosa to prevent inflammation. If accidental contact
occurs, remove material from the tissues. Flush mucosa with plenty of water and expectorate/
evacuate the water. If inflammation of mucosa persists, seek medical attention.

2.2 Precautions
This product is intended to be used only as specifically outlined in these Instructions for Use.
Any use of this product inconsistent with these Instructions for Use is at the discretion and sole
responsibility of the dental practitioner.
• Wear suitable protective eyewear, mask, clothing and gloves. Protective eyewear is recommend-
ed for patients.
• Contact with saliva, blood and sulcus fluid during application may cause failure of the restoration.
Use adequate isolation such as rubber dam.
• To prevent bottles, powder scoop and mixing pad from exposure to spatter or spray of body fluids
or contaminated hands it is recommended that the bottles, powder scoop and mixing pad are
handled offside the dental unit with clean/disinfected gloves.
• The shade guide cannot be reprocessed. To prevent the shade guide from exposure to spatter or
spray of body fluids or contaminated hands it is mandatory that the shade guide is handled with
clean/disinfected gloves.
• Applicator Tips are intended for single use only. Discard after use. Do not reuse in other patients
in order to prevent cross-contamination.
• The desiccant crystals integrated in the cap and/or drying capsule protect the powder from ab-
sorbing moisture. The color of the desiccant crystals should be orange. The desiccant crystals
are no longer effective after the color has turned from orange to colorless.
• Tightly close bottle immediately after use.
• Increased temperature and/or humidity reduce available working time and accelerate setting
time. Material will set faster in the mouth than at the bench. Do not use bench cure rates to judge
mouth cure rates.
• The product should be mixed in proportions of two level scoops powder to two drops water for
optimum performance. The mixed material should be homogeneous and streak free prior to ap-
plication. Variations may affect the strength and durability of the material.
• Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid ingestion or prolonged inhalation.
• ChemVarnish™ is flammable: Keep away from sources of ignition.
• Do not empty into drains.

2.3 Adverse reactions

• Eye contact: Irritation and possible corneal damage.
• Skin contact: Irritation. Reddish rashes may be seen on the skin.
• Contact with mucous membranes: Inflammation (see Warnings).

2.4 Storage conditions

Inadequate storage conditions may shorten the shelf life and may lead to malfunction of the product.
• Store with original caps tightly closed in a well-ventilated place at temperatures between
10 °C and 24 °C (50 °F and 75 °F).
• Allow material to reach room temperature prior to use.
• Protect from moisture.
• Do not use after expiration date.

3 Step-by-step instructions

3.1 Shade selection

ChemFil® Superior restorative offers seven shade options:
• L – Light, similar to VITA® shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, similar to VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, similar to VITA® shade A2
• LG – Light-Grey, similar to VITA® shade B2
• DG – Dark-Grey, similar to VITA® shade D4
• DY – Dark-Yellow, similar to VITA® shade A3
• GB – Grey-Brown, similar to VITA® shade A4

Shade selection is made with the shade guide supplied. As the translucency and color of glass
ionomer cements change during the first hours after placement, the shade guide represents the
final shade of the restoration.

3.2 Cavity preparation

1. In all cavity classes cavity preparation may be kept to the minimum required for caries removal.
2. Preparation of mechanical retention is not needed except when restoration is liable to be sub-
jected to high displacement forces.
3. Rinse surface with water spray and carefully remove excess rinsing water with air spray. Do not
desiccate the tooth substance – cavity surface should be moist.
4. Use cotton rolls or rubber dam to isolate the cavity from contamination.

3.3 Cleaning
1. Clean uninstrumented enamel and dentin with a rubber cup and pumice or a cleaning paste such
as Nupro® prophylaxis paste.
2. Wash thoroughly with water spray and air dry.
3. Clean freshly instrumented enamel and dentin with water spray, then air dry.

3.4 Pulp protection

1. In deep cavities cover the dentin close to the pulp (less than 1 mm) with a hard-setting calcium
hydroxide liner (Dycal® calcium hydroxide liner, see complete Instructions for Use) leaving the
rest of the cavity surface free for bonding.

3.5 Conditioning tooth surface

For surface conditioning, ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser may be used.
1. Place an appropriate amount of ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser onto the pad provided or on a glass
slab.
2. Apply ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser to the cavity surface using an Applicator Tip.
3. Allow ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser to remain for 15 seconds.
4. Rinse surface with water spray and carefully remove excess rinsing water with air spray. Do not
desiccate the tooth substance – cavity surface should be moist.

3.6 Placement of matrix

1. In Class II cavities place a matrix (e.g. AutoMatrix® matrix system or Palodent® Plus matrix sys-
tem) and wedge. Burnishing of the matrix band will improve contact and contour.
2. Contact surface of steel matrix can be coated with a water soluble or petroleum lubricating jelly.
3. In Class V cavities cervical matrices may be used.

3.7 Dosage and mixing
The mixing ratio is 2 scoops powder : 2 drops liquid 2.
1. Invert powder bottle to fluff the powder.
2. Overfill the scoop with powder and strike off the excess with the bottle insert leaving a flat surface
level with the edge of the scoop.

NOTICE
Premature setting of material.
Reduced working time.
1. Keep powder and liquid separated until ready for mixing.

3. Place the powder onto the pad provided or on a glass slab 3. Special spatulas are not required.
4. Divide the powder into two halves.
5. Fill water dispenser with distilled or de-ionized water.
6. Dispense two drops of water by holding the bottle vertically and squeezing gently.
7. Mix the first part with the water in five seconds or less, then add the second part and mix for
about ten seconds – maximum mixing time 20 seconds. The consistency of the mixed material
should resemble that of a composite resin.

3.8 Working and setting time 4

• From start of mixing, the remaining working time is approximately 2 minutes.
• After mixing, the setting time is 2 to 3 minutes.

3.9 Application
1. Avoid contamination of the filling with saliva or water during insertion.
2. Pack the mixed cement firmly into place and contour with a suitable matrix.
3. Keep the matrix in place for at least 4 minutes.
4. Immediately upon removal of the matrix, coat the restoration with ChemVarnish™.
5. Place an appropriate amount of ChemVarnish™ onto the pad provided or on a glass slab.
6. Apply ChemVarnish™ to the restoration surface using an Applicator Tip.
7. Dry varnish layer using the air syringe.
8. To ensure a continuous film apply a second layer of varnish and dry again.

3.10 Finishing
Between 7 minutes and 24 hours after placement:
Finishing and polishing is best carried out at the next appointment. However, the restoration is suf-
ficiently hard for water-free finishing approximately 7 minutes after placement.
1. Finishing and polishing instruments should be lubricated with Vaseline. Do not use water spray.
2. Before dismissing the patient the restoration should be protected from dehydration and moisture
by painting the surface with ChemVarnish™.

If finished more than 24 hours after placement:

1. Water spray may be used during finishing.
2. Restoration need not be protected with ChemVarnish™.
3. Remove any large excess of material with finishing burs and complete finishing with finishing
discs or strips.
4. Finally buff the restoration to a high lustre with polishing cups and paste. The Enhance® Finishing
and Polishing System is recommended.

Mixing and application of the material should be done at normal room temperature. Higher temperatures shorten the
working and setting times of the cement. Under warm conditions or if a long working time is required, it is therefore
recommended that the glass slab be cooled. Testing to ISO 9917 is carried out at 23 °C ± 1 °C and a relative humidity
of 50 ± 10%.

3.11 Cleaning instruments
Glass ionomers adhere to instruments and glass slabs.
1. Immediately after use, either clean instruments with water or drop in disinfectant or water to
facilitate subsequent cleaning.

4 Hygiene

Cross-contamination.

1. The shade guide cannot be reprocessed.
2. To prevent the shade guide from exposure to spatter or spray of body fluids or
contaminated hands it is mandatory that the shade guide is handled with clean/
disinfected gloves. Do not reuse shade guide if contaminated.
3. Dispose contaminated shade guide in accordance with local regulations.

1 Produktbeschreibung

ChemFil® Superior ist ein schnellabbindendes Glasionomer-Füllungsmaterial, das aus einer Mi-

2 Sicherheitshinweise

Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden allgemeinen Sicherheitshinweise und die speziellen Sicherheits-
hinweise in anderen Abschnitten dieser Gebrauchsanweisung.

2.1 Warnhinweise
ChemVarnish™ enthält Ethylacetat und kann irritierend auf Haut, Augen und orale Schleimhaut
wirken.
ChemFil® Superior und ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser sind säurehaltig und können zu Verätzungen führen.
• Augenkontakt vermeiden, um Irritationen und möglichen Hornhautschäden vorzubeugen. Im
Falle eines Kontaktes mit den Augen sofort mit reichlich Wasser spülen und medizinische Hilfe
aufsuchen.

 • Hautkontakt vermeiden, um Irritationen vorzubeugen. Im Falle eines Kontaktes mit der Haut
kann sich ein rötlicher Ausschlag entwickeln. Bei Hautkontakt das Material mit Hilfe eines Tuches
entfernen und gründlich mit Seife und Wasser abwaschen.
• Kontakt mit oralen Weichgeweben/Mucosa vermeiden, um Entzündungsreaktionen vorzu-
beugen. Kommt es zu einem unbeabsichtigten Kontakt, das Material vom Gewebe entfernen.
Die Schleimhaut mit reichlich Wasser spülen. Spülwasser absaugen bzw. ausspeien lassen.
Sollte die Reizung der Schleimhaut anhalten, medizinische Hilfe aufsuchen.

2.2 Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
Dieses Produkt nur nach Gebrauchsanweisung verarbeiten.
Jeglicher Gebrauch unter Nichtbeachtung dieser Gebrauchsanweisung unterliegt der Verantwor-
tung des behandelnden Zahnarztes.
• Geeigneten Augenschutz, Gesichtsmaske, Schutzkleidung und Handschuhe tragen. Für den
Patienten wird ein Augenschutz empfohlen.
• Der Kontakt mit Speichel, Blut oder Sulkusflüssigkeit während der Applikation kann zum Versa-
gen der Füllung führen. Adäquat trocken legen (z. B. mit Kofferdam).
• Damit Flaschen, Dosierlöffel und Anmischblock keinen Körperflüssigkeiten oder kontaminierten
Händen ausgesetzt werden, empfiehlt sich der Umgang mit Flaschen, Dosierlöffel und Anmisch-
block außerhalb der Dentaleinheit mit sauberen/desinfizierten Handschuhen.
• Der Farbschlüssel kann nicht wiederaufbereitet werden. Um den Farbschlüssel vor Spritzern,
Sprühnebel aus Körperflüssigkeiten oder kontaminierten Händen zu schützen, ist der Umgang
mit sauberen/desinfizierten Handschuhen zwingend erforderlich.
• Applikatorspitzen sind ausschließlich für den Einmalgebrauch bestimmt. Nach Gebrauch entsor-
gen. Nicht bei anderen Patienten wiederverwenden, um Kreuzkontamination zu verhindern.
• Feuchtigkeitsabsorbierende Kristalle, integriert in die Verschlusskappe und/oder eine Trocken-
kapsel, schützen das Pulver davor Feuchtigkeit aufzunehmen. Die Farbe der feuchtigkeitsabsor-
bierenden Kristalle muss orange sein. Die feuchtigkeitsabsorbierenden Kristalle sind nicht länger
wirksam, wenn sich ihre Farbe von orange zu farblos verändert hat.
• Flasche nach Gebrauch sofort fest verschließen.
• Erhöhte Temperaturen und Luftfeuchtigkeit reduzieren die Verarbeitungszeit und beschleunigen
den Abbindevorgang. Das Material bindet im Mund schneller ab als unter Laborbedingungen.
Verwenden Sie die unter Laborbedingungen ermittelten Zeiten nicht zur Beurteilung der Aushär-
tezeiten in der Mundhöhle.
• Für optimale Resultate sollte das Produkt im Verhältnis zwei gestrichene Löffel Pulver zu zwei
Tropfen Wasser angemischt werden. Das Material sollte erst appliziert werden, wenn die Mi-
schung homogen und schlierenfrei ist. Andernfalls verringert sich eventuell die Festigkeit und
Haltbarkeit.
• Das Produkt nur in gut belüfteten Bereichen verwenden. Einnahme und längeres Einatmen ver-
meiden.
• ChemVarnish™ ist entzündlich: Von Zündquellen fernhalten.
• Nicht in den Ausguss entleeren.

2.3 Nebenwirkungen
• Augenkontakt: Irritation und mögliche Hornhautschäden.
• Hautkontakt: Irritationen. Hautausschläge können auftreten.
• Kontakt mit der Schleimhaut: Entzündung (siehe Warnhinweise).

2.4 Lagerbedingungen
Ungeeignete Lagerbedingungen können die Haltbarkeit verkürzen und zu Fehlfunktionen des Pro-
duktes führen.
• Mit Originalkappe fest verschlossen in einem gut belüfteten Raum bei Temperaturen zwischen
10 °C und 24 °C lagern.
• Material vor Gebrauch auf Raumtemperatur erwärmen lassen.
• Vor Feuchtigkeit schützen.
• Nicht nach Ablauf des Verfallsdatums verwenden.

3 Arbeitsanleitung Schritt für Schritt

3.1 Farbauswahl
ChemFil® Superior Füllungsmaterial bietet sieben Farbvarianten:
• L – Light, entspricht VITA® shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, entspricht VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, entspricht VITA® shade A2
• LG – Light-Grey, entspricht VITA® shade B2
• DG – Dark-Grey, entspricht VITA® shade D4
• DY – Dark-Yellow, entspricht VITA® shade A3
• GB – Grey-Brown, entspricht VITA® shade A4

Farbbestimmung erfolgt anhand des mitgelieferten Farbrings. Da Transluzenz und Farbe von Gla-
sionomerzementen sich während der ersten Stunden nach ihrer Einbringung ändern, gibt der Far-
bring den endgültigen Farbton der Restauration wieder.

3.2 Kavitätenpräparation
1. Bei allen Kavitätenklassen kann die Kavitätenpräparation auf ein für die Kariesentfernung not-
wendiges Mindestmaß beschränkt werden.
2. Mechanische Retentionen sind nicht erforderlich, es sei denn die Restauration ist starken Dislo-
kationskräften ausgesetzt.
3. Oberfläche mit dem Wasserspray abspülen und überschüssiges Spülwasser vorsichtig mit dem
Luftbläser entfernen. Die Zahnhartsubstanz nicht austrocknen – die Kavität sollte feucht sein.
4. Verwenden Sie Watterollen oder Kofferdam, um die Kavität vor Kontamination zu schützen.

3.3 Reinigung
1. Reinigen Sie nicht instrumentierten Schmelz und Dentin mit einem Polierkelch und Bimsstein
oder Polierpaste wie z. B. Nupro® Prophylaxe Paste.
2. Sorgfältig mit Wasserspray absprühen und lufttrocknen.
3. Präparierter Schmelz und Dentin sind mit Wasserspray zu reinigen und luftzutrocknen.

3.4 Schutz der Pulpa

1. In tiefen Kavitäten das Dentin nahe der Pulpa (weniger als 1 mm) mit einem aushärtenden Kal-
ziumhydroxid-Präparat abdecken (Dycal® Kalziumhydroxid-Liner, siehe vollständige Gebrauchs-
information). Den Rest der Kavität zum „Bonden“ frei lassen.

3.5 Konditionieren der Zahnoberfläche

Zur Oberflächenkonditionierung kann ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser verwendet werden.
1. Applizieren Sie eine entsprechende Menge an ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser auf den bereitgestellten
Block oder eine Glasplatte.
2. Applizieren Sie den ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser mit dem Applikator Tip auf die Kavitätenoberfläche.
3. Lassen Sie den ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser für 15 Sekunden einwirken.
4. Oberfläche mit dem Wasserspray abspülen und überschüssiges Spülwasser vorsichtig mit dem

3.6 Applikation der Matrize

1. Bei Klasse II Kavitäten platzieren Sie eine Matrize (z. B. AutoMatrix® Matrizensystem oder
Palodent® Plus Matrizensystem) und einen Keil. Um Kontaktpunkt und Kontour zu verbessern
kann die Matrize noch mit einem Instrument angepasst und modelliert werden.
2. Die Kontaktfläche der Stahlmatrize kann mit einem wasserlöslichen Gel benetzt werden.
3. Für Klasse V-Restaurationen können Zervikalmatrizen verwendet werden.

3.7 Dosierung und Anmischen
Das Mischungsverhältnis ist 2 Messlöffel Pulver : 2 Tropfen Flüssigkeit 2.
1. Vor dem Gebrauch den Pulverbehälter zur Lockerung des Pulvers umdrehen.
2. Den Dosierlöffel locker mit Pulver füllen und Überschuss beim Herausziehen aus der Flasche an
dem Kunststoffeinsatz der Flaschenöffnung abstreichen.

HINWEIS
Vorzeitiges Abbinden des Materials.
Reduzierte Verarbeitungszeit.
1. Pulver und Flüssigkeit müssen bis zum Anmischen getrennt bleiben.

3. Das Pulver auf den mitgelieferten Anmischblock oder eine Glasplatte 3 geben. Besondere Spatel
sind nicht erforderlich.
4. Pulver in zwei gleiche Portionen aufteilen.
5. Ein Wasserspender wird mit destilliertem und entionisiertem Wasser gefüllt.
6. Die Flasche senkrecht halten und durch leichtes Drücken zwei Wassertropfen entnehmen.
7. Die erste Hälfte innerhalb von maximal fünf Sekunden mit dem Wasser vermischen, dann die
zweite Hälfte Pulver einarbeiten und ungefähr 10 Sekunden durchmischen. Maximale Anmisch-
zeit: 20 Sekunden. Die Konsistenz der Mischung sollte der eines Komposits gleichen.

3.8 Verarbeitungs- und Abbindezeit 4

• Die Verarbeitungszeit ab Mischbeginn beträgt ca. 2 Minuten.
• Die Abbindezeit ab Mischende beträgt 2 bis 3 Minuten.

3.9 Applikation
1. Während des Einbringens ist eine Kontamination der Füllung mit Speichel oder Wasser zu ver-
meiden.
2. Angemischten Zement in die Kavität stopfen und mit einer geeigneten Matrize konturieren.
3. Matrize mindestens 4 Minuten in Position belassen.
4. Die Restauration direkt nach dem Entfernen der Matrize mit ChemVarnish™ überziehen.
5. Eine ausreichende Menge ChemVarnish™ auf den mitgelieferten Anmischblock oder eine Glas-
platte geben.
6. Tragen Sie ChemVarnish™ mit einem Applikator Tip auf die Restaurationsoberfläche auf.
7. Lackschicht mit Luftbläser trocknen.
8. Um eine gleichmäßige Schicht zu gewährleisten, ChemVarnish™ erneut auftragen und trocknen.

3.10 Ausarbeitung
Zwischen 7 Minuten und 24 Stunden nach dem Einbringen:
Ausarbeitung und Politur erfolgen am besten beim nächsten Behandlungstermin. Die Restauration
ist jedoch schon ungefähr 7 Minuten nach Einbringen hart genug, um ohne Wasser bearbeitet
werden zu können.
1. Finier- und Polierinstrumente sollten mit Vaseline eingefettet werden. Keinen Wasserspray ver-
wenden.
2. Vor Entlassung des Patienten sollte die Restauration vor Wasseraufnahme und Austrocknung
durch einen Überzug mit ChemVarnish™ geschützt werden.

Für Testzwecke gemäß ISO 9917 wird das gleiche Mischungsverhältnis von Pulver : Flüssigkeit (7,4 g : 1 g) vorge-
schlagen.

Das Anmischen und Einbringen des Materials sollte bei normaler Zimmertemperatur erfolgen. Höhere Temperaturen
verkürzen Verarbeitungs- und Abbindezeit des Zements. Bei warmen Temperaturen, und wenn eine lange Verar-
beitungszeit erforderlich ist, sollte die Glasanmischplatte daher gekühlt werden. Geprüft gemäß ISO-Norm 9917 bei
23 °C ± 1 °C und einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von 50 ± 10%.

 Falls das Finieren mehr als 24 Stunden nach dem Einbringen erfolgt:
1. Wasserspray kann während der Ausarbeitung verwendet werden.
2. Die Restauration muss nicht mehr mit ChemVarnish™ geschützt werden.
3. Groben Materialüberschuss mit Finierinstrumenten entfernen und Restauration mit Finierschei-
ben oder Polierstrips fertig ausarbeiten.
4. Zuletzt Restauration mit Polierkelch und Paste auf Hochglanz polieren. Hierfür wird das
Enhance® Finier- und Poliersystem empfohlen.

3.11 Reinigung der Instrumente

Glasionomerzemente haften an Instrumenten und Glasplatten.
1. Sofort nach Gebrauch die Instrumente entweder mit Wasser reinigen oder in ein Sterilisations-
mittel oder Wasser tauchen, um eine anschließende Reinigung zu erleichtern.

4 Hygiene

Kreuzkontamination.
Infektion.
1. Der Farbschlüssel kann nicht wiederaufbereitet werden.
2. Um den Farbschlüssel vor Spritzern, Sprühnebel aus Körperflüssigkeiten oder
kontaminierten Händen zu schützen, ist der Umgang mit sauberen/desinfizierten
Handschuhen zwingend erforderlich. Den Farbschlüssel nicht wiederverwenden,
falls kontaminiert.
3. Kontaminierten Farbschlüssel nach den geltenden Vorschriften entsorgen.

1 Description du produit

ChemFil® Superior est un matériau de restauration verre-ionomère à prise rapide constitué d’un
mélange de verre de silicate d’alumine et d’acide polyacrylique. La poudre est mélangée à de l’eau
distillée pour donner un matériau d’obturation qui adhère à la dentine et à l’émail et obtenir des
restaurations extrêmement adhésives, résistantes et esthétiques.

ChemFil® Superior est disponible en sept teintes :

• L – Light, similaire à VITA® 1 shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, similaire à VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, similaire à VITA® shade A2

1.1 Conditionnement du produit

1.2 Composition

1.3 Indications
Utilisé pour :
• Restauration des cavités de classe I et II des dents temporaires (dents de lait).
• Restauration des cavités de classe III.
• Restauration des lésions et cavités de classe V.
• Les restaurations temporaires et semi-permanentes.
• Les obturations de fissures (cavités classe I peu importantes).

1.4 Contre-indications
• L’application directe ou indirecte sur la pulpe dentaire (coiffage pulpaire direct ou indirect).
• Restauration permanente des surfaces soumises à des forces occlusales.

2 Consignes de sécurité

Veuillez prendre connaissance des consignes générales de sécurité ainsi que des consignes parti-
culières de sécurité qui figurent dans d’autres chapitres du présent mode d’emploi.

• Il s’agit du symbole de sécurité. Il est utilisé pour vous alerter sur les risques
potentiels de blessure.
• Respecter tous les messages de sécurité accompagnant ce symbole afin d’éviter
d’éventuelles blessures.

2.1 Mises en garde
ChemVarnish™ contient des acétates d’éthyles et peut être irritant pour la peau, les yeux et la
muqueuse orale.
ChemFil® Superior et ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser sont acides et peuvent causer des brûlures.
• Eviter tout contact avec les yeux afin de prévenir toute irritation et dommage potentiel au
niveau de la cornée. En cas de contact avec les yeux, rincer immédiatement et abondamment à
l’eau et consulter un médecin.
• Eviter tout contact avec la peau afin de prévenir toute irritation. En cas de contact, des rou-
geurs peuvent apparaître sur la peau. Si un contact cutané se produit, éliminer le matériau à
l’aide d’un coton et laver complètement au savon et à l’eau.
• Eviter tout contact avec les tissus mous de la bouche/muqueuse afin de prévenir toute in-
flammation. En cas de contact accidentel, éliminer le matériau des tissus. Rincer abondamment
la muqueuse à l’eau une fois puis recracher/évacuer l’eau. Si l’inflammation de la muqueuse
persiste, consulter un médecin.

2.2 Précautions d’emploi

Ce produit ne doit être utilisé que dans le cadre défini par le mode d’emploi.
Toute utilisation de ce produit en contradiction avec le mode d’emploi est à l’appréciation et sous
l’unique responsabilité du praticien.
• Porter des lunettes, un masque, des vêtements et des gants de protection. Le port de lunettes de
protection est recommandé pour les patients.
• Tout contact avec la salive, le sang et le fluide gingival pendant l’application peut réduire l’effica-
cité du produit. Utiliser une isolation adéquate telle que la digue.
• Pour éviter que les flacons, les dosettes en poudre et le bloc de mélange soient exposés à des
projections, à des jets de liquides corporels ou à des mains contaminées, il est recommandé que
les flacons, les dosettes de poudre et le bloc de mélange soient manipulés en dehors de l’unité
dentaire avec des gants propres/désinfectés.
• Le guide de teintes ne peut pas être stérilisé. Pour éviter une exposition du guide de teintes aux
éclaboussures, aux jets de fluides corporels ou une contamination par les mains, il est obligatoire
de manipuler celles-ci avec des gants propres ou désinfectés.
• Les applicateur tips sont prévues pour un usage unique. Jeter après utilisation. Ne pas réutiliser
sur d’autres patients afin d’éviter les contaminations croisées.
• Les cristaux déshydratants intégrés au capuchon et/ou la capsule déshydratante protègent la
poudre contre l’humidité. La couleur de l’agent déshydratant doit être orange. Les cristaux dés-
hydratants ne sont plus efficaces quand la couleur est passée du orange à incolore.
• Fermer hermétiquement le flacon immédiatement après usage.
• Une température et/ou une humidité élevées réduisent le temps de travail disponible et accé-
lèrent la prise. Le matériau prendra plus rapidement dans la bouche qu’à l’extérieur. Ne pas uti-
liser le temps de polymérisation à l’extérieur comme référence pour le temps de polymérisation
en bouche.
• Le produit doit être mélangé en proportion de 2 niveaux de cuillères de poudre et 2 gouttes de
l’eau pour une performance optimale. Le matériau mélangé doit être homogène sans stries avant
l’application. Des variations peuvent affecter la résistance et la longévité du matériau.
• Utiliser dans une zone parfaitement aérée. Éviter l'ingestion ou l'inhalation prolongée.
• ChemVarnish™ est inflammable : Tenir à distance de toute source d’ignition.
• Ne pas jeter à l'égout.

2.3 Réactions indésirables

• En cas de contact avec les yeux : Irritation et dommage possible au niveau de la cornée.
• En cas de contact avec la peau : Irritation. Des rougeurs peuvent apparaître sur la peau.
• En cas de contact avec les tissus mous : Inflammation (voir « Mises en garde »).

2.4 Conservation
Des conditions de stockage inappropriées abrègeront la durée de conservation et seront suscep-
tibles de produire un dysfonctionnement du produit.
• Conserver dans les capsules originales bien fermées et dans un endroit bien ventilé à des tem-
pératures comprises entre 10 °C et 24 °C.
• Laisser le matériau atteindre la température ambiante avant utilisation.
• Protéger de l’humidité.
• Ne pas utiliser après la date de péremption.

3 Instructions étape par étape

3.1 Sélection de la teinte

ChemFil® Superior propose sept teintes :
• L – Light, similaire à VITA® shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, similaire à VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, similaire à VITA® shade A2
• LG – Light-Grey, similaire à VITA® shade B2
• DG – Dark-Grey, similaire à VITA® shade D4
• DY – Dark-Yellow, similaire à VITA® shade A3
• GB – Grey-Brown, similaire à VITA® shade A4

Le choix de la teinte est fait grâce au teintier fourni. Comme la translucidité et la teinte même des
ciments verre-ionomères changent au cours des quelques heures suivant la mise en place, le
teintier indique la teinte définitive de la restauration.

3.2 Préparation de la cavité

1. Dans toutes les classes de cavités, la préparation peut être limitée au minimum exigée pour
l’enlèvement des tissus carieux.
2. La réalisation de rétention mécanique n’est pas nécessaire sauf si des contraintes élevées sont
susceptibles de se produire sur l’obturation.
3. Rincer la surface avec un spray d’eau puis sécher l’excès d’eau de rinçage avec précaution à
l’aide de la soufflette. Ne pas dessécher la structure de la dent – la surface de la cavité doit rester
humide.
4. Utiliser une digue ou des rouleaux salivaires pour protéger la cavité de toute contamination.

3.3 Nettoyage
1. Nettoyer l’émail et la dentine non instrumentée avec une cupule en caoutchouc et une pierre
ponce ou une pâte nettoyante prophylactique comme Nupro®.
2. Rincer abondamment avec le spray et sécher à l’air.
3. Nettoyer l’émail et la dentine instrumentée avec un spray d’eau et sécher à l’air.

3.4 Protection de la pulpe

1. En présence de cavités profondes, recouvrir la dentine proche de la pulpe (moins de 1 mm) d’un
fond de cavité à base d’hydroxyde de calcium auto-durcissant (Dycal® calcium hydroxide liner,
voir le mode d’emploi complet) et laisser le reste de la surface de la cavité libre pour l’adhésion.

3.5 Conditionnement du surface de la dent

Pour le conditionnement de surface, utiliser ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser.
1. Placer un volume approprié de ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser sur le bloc fourni ou sur une plaque en
verre.
2. Appliquer ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser sur la surface de la cavité avec un applicateur tip.
3. Laisser ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser rester en place pendant 15 secondes.
4. Rincer la surface avec un spray d’eau puis sécher l’excès d’eau de rinçage avec précaution à l’aide
de la soufflette. Ne pas dessécher la structure de la dent – la surface de la cavité doit rester humide.

3.6 Mise en place de la matrice
1. Pour les cavités de classe II, placer une matrice (par exemple le système de matrices
AutoMatrix® ou le système de matrices Palodent® Plus) et un coin. Brunir la bande matricielle
améliorera la forme et le point de contact.
2. La surface de contact d’une matrice en acier peut être enduite avec un gel de vaseline lubrifiant
soluble dans l’eau.
3. Pour les cavités de classe V, il est possible d’utiliser des matrices cervicales.

3.7 Dosage et mélange

La proportion du mélange est 2 mesures de poudre : 2 gouttes de liquide 2.
1. Secouer le flacon de poudre avant usage pour aérer la poudre.
2. Remplir largement la mesure de poudre et enlever l’excédent à l’aide de « l’araseur » se trouvant
dans le flacon afin d’obtenir une surface plate.

AVERTISSEMENT
Prise prématurée du matériau.
Réduction du temps de travail.
1. Séparer la poudre et le liquide jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient prêts à être melangé.

3. Placer la poudre sur un bloc de mélange ou une plaque de verre 3. Des spatules spéciales ne
sont pas nécessaires.
4. Partager la poudre en deux parties égales.
5. Remplir le distributeur d’eau distillée ou déminéralisée.
6. Verser deux gouttes d’eau en tenant le flacon verticalement et presser doucement.
7. Mélanger la première partie à l’eau en 5 secondes au moins puis ajouter le restant de poudre
et mélanger pendant environ dix secondes – temps de mélange maximum 20 secondes. La
consistance du mélange doit ressembler à celle d’une résine composite.

3.8 Temps de travail et de prise 4

• Le temps de travail est d’approximativement 2 minutes à partir du début du mélange.
• Le temps de prise est de 2 à 3 minutes à partir de la fin du mélange.

3.9 Application
1. La contamination par la salive ou l’eau doit être évitée pendant la mise en place du ciment.
2. Compacter fermement le ciment mélangé et le contourer avec une forme de matrice adaptée.
3. Garder la matrice en place pendant au moins quatre minutes.
4. Immédiatement après avoir retiré la matrice appliquer ChemVarnish™ sur la restauration.
5. Placer la quantité adéquate de ChemVarnish™ sur un bloc de mélange ou une plaque de verre.
6. Appliquer ChemVarnish™ sur la surface de la restauration avec un applicateur tip.
7. Sécher la couche de vernis avec l’air de la seringue multifonctions.
8. Afin d’assurer une parfaite étanchéité, appliquer une seconde couche de vernis et sécher à
nouveau.

3.10 Finition
Entre 7 minutes et 24 heures après le placement :
Il est préférable d’effectuer la finition et le polissage au cours du rendez-vous suivant. Toutefois, la
restauration est suffisamment dure pour une finition sans utilisation d’eau environ 7 minutes après
la mise en place.
1. Les instruments de finition et de polissage devraient être lubrifiés avec de la vaseline. Ne pas
utiliser un spray d’eau.

La même proportion poudre : liquide (7,4 g : 1 g) est proposée pour les tests conformément à la norme ISO 9917.

Le mélange et la mise en place du produit doivent être effectués à température ambiante normale. Des températures
plus élevées diminuent le temps de travail et le temps de prise du ciment. Dans des conditions de températures plus
élevées ou si l’on désire un temps de travail plus long, il est recommandé de refroidir la plaque de mélange. Les tests
des normes ISO 9917 sont réalisés avec une température de 23 °C ± 1 °C et sous une humidité relative de 50 ± 10%.

 2. Avant de libérer le patient, la restauration devrait être protégée de la déshydratation et de l’humi-
dité en appliquant ChemVarnish™ en surface.

Si terminé plus de 24 heures après le placement :

1. Un spray d’eau peut être utilisé au cours de la finition.
2. La restauration ne doit plus être protégée avec ChemVarnish™.
3. Enlever les bavures à l’aide de fraises à finir et parfaire la finition avec des disques ou strips de
finition.
4. Exécuter un polissage soigné avec des cupules et pâte à polir. Le système de finition et polis-
sage Enhance® Finishing et Polishing system est recommandé.

3.11 Nettoyage des instruments

Les verre-ionomères adhérent aux instruments et aux plaques de verre.
1. Immédiatement après l’utilisation, il faut soit nettoyer les instruments à l’eau ou les faire tremper
dans du désinfectant ou de l’eau pour faciliter leur nettoyage ultérieur.

4 Hygiène

Contaminations croisées.
Infection.
1. Le guide de teintes ne peut pas être stérilisé.
2. Pour éviter une exposition du guide de teintes aux éclaboussures, aux jets de
fluides corporels ou une contamination par les mains, il est obligatoire de manipu-
ler celui-ci avec des gants propres ou désinfectés. Ne pas réutiliser le teintier s’il
est contaminé.
3. Eliminer le teintier contaminé conformément à la règlementation locale.

Contaminations croisées.
Infection.
1. Ne pas réutiliser des dispositifs à usage unique. Eliminer conformément à la
règlementation locale.

1.4 Contraindicaciones
• La aplicación directa o indirecta a la pulpa dental (recubrimiento directo o indirecto de la pulpa).
• Restauraciones permanentes de superficies oclusales sometidas a un desgaste constante.

2 Notas de seguridad

Preste atención a las siguientes normas de seguridad y las que encontrará en otro capítulo de
estas instrucciones de uso.

Símbolo de Alerta de Seguridad.

• Este es el símbolo de alerta de seguridad. Se utiliza para avisarle de potenciales
riesgos de daño personal.
• Obedezca todos los mensajes de seguridad que sigan a este símbolo para evitar
posibles daños.

2.1 Advertencias
ChemVarnish™ contiene acetato etílico y puede dañar la mucosa oral, ojos y piel.
ChemFil® Superior y ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser son ácidos y pueden producir quemaduras.
• Evite el contacto con los ojos para prevenir irritaciones y posibles daños en la córnea. En caso
de contacto con los ojos, lave inmediatamente con abundante agua y solicite atención médica.

 • Evite el contacto con la piel para prevenir irritaciones. En caso de contacto, se puede observar
una leve irritación en la piel. En caso de contacto con la piel, retire el material con un algodón y
lave enérgicamente con jabón y agua.
• Evite el contacto con los tejidos suaves y/o con la mucosa para prevenir inflamación. En
caso de contacto accidental elimine el material de los tejidos. Lave la mucosa con abundante
agua y haga que el paciente escupa. En caso de que persista la irritación de la mucosa, solicite
atención médica.

2.2 Precauciones
Este producto está diseñado para ser utilizado siguiendo estas instrucciones de uso.
Cualquier uso de este producto fuera de las instrucciones aquí indicadas, será bajo criterio y res-
ponsabilidad del profesional.
• Utilice gafas de protección, máscara, ropa y guantes protectores adecuados. Se recomienda
que los pacientes utilicen protección ocular.
• El contacto con saliva, sangre o fluido del sulco radicular durante su aplicación puede provocar
un fracaso de la restauración. Utilice un aislamiento adecuado, como el dique de goma.
• Para evitar que los botes, la cuchara y el bloque de mezcla se contamine con agua, cualquier
otro líquido o con manos contaminadas, recomendamos que se manipule fuera de la unidad
dental con guantes desinfectados.
• La guía de colores no se puede esterilizar. Para evitar su exposición a los aerosoles y a manos
contaminadas, es necesario el uso de guantes estériles cuando se manipule.
• Las puntas aplicadoras son para un solo uso. Deséchelas después de su uso. No reutilice en
otros pacientes para prevenir contaminaciones cruzadas.
• Los cristales desecantes integrados en el tapón y/o cápsula secante, protegen el polvo de la ab-
sorción de humedad. El color de los cristales desecantes debe ser de color naranja. Los cristales
desecados no son efectivos después que pierden su color naranja.
• Cierre fuertemente el bote inmediatamente después de su uso.
• El aumento de la temperatura y/o la humedad reduce el tiempo de trabajo y acelera el tiempo de
fraguado. El material fragua más rápidamente en la boca que en la loseta. No se oriente por el
estado del material en la loseta para saber si el material ha fraguado en boca.
• El producto debe mezclarse en la proporción de dos cucharas rasas de polvo por dos gotas de
agua para un rendimiento óptimo. La mezcla debe ser homogénea y libre de vetas antes de su
aplicación. Las variaciones pueden afectar la resistencia y durabilidad del material.
• Utilícelo en un área bien ventilada. Evitar la ingestión o la inhalación prolongada.
• ChemVarnish™ es inflamable : Mantener lejos de cualquier fuente de ignición.
• No tirar por el desagüe.

2.3 Reacciones adversas

• Contacto con los ojos : Irritación y posible daño en la córnea.
• Contacto con la piel : Irritación. Se puede producir una irritación en la piel.
• Contacto con membranas mucosas : Inflamación (ver Advertencias).

2.4 Condiciones de conservación

La conservación en condiciones inadecuadas puede afectar la vida de uso del producto y puede
producir un mal funcionamiento del mismo.
• Consérvelo con la tapa original bien cerrada en lugares bien ventilados a temperaturas entre
10 °C y 24 °C.
• Antes de utilizarlo permita que el material alcance la temperatura ambiente.
• Proteja de la humedad.
• No utilizar después de la fecha de caducidad.

3 Instrucciones paso a paso

3.1 Selección del color

ChemFil® Superior ofrece siete colores:
• L – Light, similar a VITA® shade A1
• LY – Light-Yellow, similar a VITA® shade C1
• LYG – Light-Yellow-Grey, similar a VITA® shade A2
• LG – Light-Grey, similar a VITA® shade B2
• DG – Dark-Grey, similar a VITA® shade D4
• DY – Dark-Yellow, similar a VITA® shade A3
• GB – Grey-Brown, similar a VITA® shade A4

La selección del color se hace con la guía de color. Teniendo en cuenta que un cemento de io-
nómero de vidrio cambia de color durante las primeras horas después de su colocación, la guía
representa el color final de la restauración.

3.2 Preparación de la cavidad

1. En todos los tipos de cavidad la preparación se podría reducir a la mínima necesaria para la
eliminación de la caries.
2. No es necesario hacer retenciones mecánicas adicionales en la preparación, excepto cuando
pueda estar sometida a grandes tensiones de desplazamiento.
3. Aclare la superficie con pulverización de agua y retire suavemente el exceso de esta agua con
aire. No deseque la tejido dental, la superficie cavitaria debe estar húmeda.
4. Utilice rollos de algodón o diques de goma para aislar la cavidad de la contaminación.

3.3 Limpieza
1. Limpie el esmalte y la dentina no instrumentada con una copa de goma o con una pasta limpia-
dora como la pasta de profilaxis Nupro®.
2. Limpiar a fondo con agua pulverizada y secar con aire.
3. La dentina y el esmalte recién instrumentados, se deben limpiar con agua en aerosol y se deben
de secar con aire.

3.4 Protección de la pulpa

1. En cavidades muy profundas cubra la dentina cercana a la pulpa (menos de 1 mm) con un liner
de hidróxido de calcio (Dycal®, liner de hidróxido de calcio, ver instrucciones de uso) dejando el
resto de la cavidad libre para la adhesión.

3.5 Acondicionamiento de la superficie dental

Para acondicionar la superficie, se puede usar ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser.
1. Coloque la cantidad necesaria de limpiador ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser en la almohadilla que viene
incorporada o en una loseta de vidrio.
2. Coloque el limpiador ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser dentro de la superficie de la restauración, con una
punta de aplicación.
3. Permita que el producto actúe durante 15 segundos.
4. Aclare la superficie con pulverización de agua y retire suavemente el exceso de esta agua con
aire. No deseque la sustancia dental, la superficie cavitaria debe estar húmeda.

3.6 Colocación de la matriz

1. En preparaciones de clase II coloque una matriz (por ejemplo, Palodent® Plus o AutoMatrix®)
y una cuña. Si contornea la matriz, mejora su contacto y su contorno.
2. Puede colocar un lubricante, como una gel derivada del petroleo en la matriz de acero.
3. En las cavidades de clase V se pueden utilizar matrices cervicales.

3.7 Dosificación y mezcla
La mezcla es 2 medidas de polvo : 2 gotas de líquido 2.
1. Remueva el bote de polvo antes de usarlo.
2. Rellene la cuchara en exceso y pase por el borde del bote hasta dejarla rasa.

NOTA
Fraguado prematuro del material.
Tiempo de trabajo reducido.
1. Mantenga el polvo y el líquido separados hasta que estén listos para espatular.

3. Coloque el polvo sobre la almohadilla de mezcla que viene incorporada o sobre una loseta de
vidrio 3. No se requiere espátulas especiales.
4. Divida el polvo en dos partes.
5. Rellene el dispensador con agua destilada o deionizada.
6. Aplique dos gotas de agua sujetando el bote en vertical y apretando con suavidad.
7. Mezcle la primera mitad con el agua en 5 segundos o menos, añadir la segunda mitad y mezclar
durante 10 segundos. Máximo tiempo de mezcla 20 segundos. La consistencia de la mezcla
debe ser como la de un composite.

3.8 Tiempo de trabajo y de fraguado 4

• El tiempo de manipulación desde que se comienza la mezcla es aproximadamente de 2 minutos.
• El tiempo de fraguado desde el final de la mezcla es de 2 a 3 minutos.

3.9 Aplicación
1. Hay que evitar la contaminación de la obturación con saliva o agua durante la inserción.
2. Coloque el cemento mezclado firmemente y realice el contorno con la matriz appropiada.
3. Mantener la matriz en posición durante al menos 4 minutos.
4. Cubrir la restauración con ChemVarnish™ inmediatamente tras retirar la matriz.
5. Coloque una cantidad apropiada de ChemVarnish™ sobre la almohadilla de mezcla que viene
incorporada o sobre una loseta de vidrio.
6. Coloque el producto ChemVarnish™ en la restauración utilizando una punta de aplicación.
7. Seque la capa de barniz utilizando una jeringa de aire.
8. Para obtener una película continua, aplicar una segunda capa de barniz y secar de nuevo.

3.10 Acabado
Entre 7 minutos y 24 horas después de la colocación:
Es preferible realizar el acabado y el pulido en la siguiente visita, porque la restauración está lo sufi-
cientemente dura como para hacer el acabado. Mucho mejor que 7 minutos después de finalizarla.
1. Los instrumentos de acabado y pulido deben ser lubricados con vaselina. No utilizar agua pulve-
rizada.
2. Antes de despedir al paciente, se debe proteger la restauración de la deshidratación y humedad,
aplicando a la superficie ChemVarnish™.

Si terminó más de 24 horas después de la colocación:

1. Se puede usar spray de agua durante el acabado.
2. La restauración puede no protegerse con ChemVarnish™.
3. Quitar todo exceso importante de material con fresas de acabado y complete el mismo con
discos o tiras.
4. Finalmente pulir la restauración hasta su brillo con las copas y pastas de pulido. Se recomienda
el sistema de acabado y pulido Enhance®.

La mezcla y la aplicación del material debe ser mecha a temperatura ambiente normal. Temperaturas más altas
acortan el tiempo de trabajo y de fraguado del cemento. Bajo altas temperaturas o si se requiere un tiempo largo de
manipulación, se recomienda enfriar la tabilla de cristal. Los exámenes ISO se llevaron a cabo a 23 ºC ± 1 ºC y con
una humedad relativa de 50 ± 10%.

3.11 Limpieza de instrumentos
Los ionómeros de vidrio se adhieren a los instrumentos y el vidrio.
1. Inmediatamente después de su uso, limpiar con agua o colocarlos en una solución desinfectante
o agua para facilitar su limpieza posterior.

4 Higiene

Contaminación cruzada.
Infección.
1. La guía de colores no se puede procesar nuevamente.
2. Para evitar la exposición de la guía de colores a los aerosoles, fluidos corporales
o a manos contaminadas, es obligatorio que la guía de colores se manipule
utilizando guantes limpiar/desinfectado. No reutilice la guía de colores si está
contaminada.
3. Deseche la guía de colores si está contaminada siguiendo las regulaciones locales.

Contaminación cruzada.
Infección.
1. No reutilice los productos de un solo uso. Deseche de acuerdo con las regulacio-
nes locales.

1 Описание продукта

ChemFil® Superior – это стеклоиономерный реставрационный материал быстрого отвержде-

ния, состоящий из смеси алюмосиликатного стекла и полиакриловой кислоты. Порошок сме-
шивается с дистиллированной водой, для получения пломбировочного материала с адгезией
к дентину и эмали, создавая герметичные, прочные и эстетичные реставрации.

ChemFil® Superior доступен в 7 оттенках:

• L – Светлый, схожий с VITA® 1 оттенок A1
• LY – Светло-желтый, схожий с VITA® оттенок C1
• LYG – Светло-Желто-Серый, схожий с VITA® оттенок A2

1.3 Показания к применению

• Герметизация фиссур (минимальные полости I класса).

1.4 Противопоказания
• Прямое или непрямое покрытие пульпы (прямое или непрямое наложение на пульпу).
• Постоянные реставрации окклюзионных поверхностей в зонах с бруксизмом.

2 Указания по безопасности

Следует сознательно выполнять приведенные ниже указания по общей безопасности и спе-

циальные указания по безопасности, приведенные в других главах данной Инструкции к при-
менению.

2.1 Предостережения
ChemVarnish™ содержит этилацетат и может вызвать раздражение кожи, глаз и слизистой
оболочки полости рта.
ChemFil® Superior и ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser содержат кислоты и могут вызвать ожоги.
• Избегайте контакта с глазами для предотвращения раздражения. В случае контакта с
глазами немедленно промойте достаточным количеством воды и обратитесь за медицин-
ской помощью.
• Избегайте контакта с кожей для предотвращения раздражения и возможного аллерги-
ческого ответа. В случае контакта на коже могут появиться красноватые высыпания. Если
контакт с кожей произошел, удалите материал ватой и тщательно промойте мылом с во-
дой.
• Избегайте контакта с мягкими тканями полости рта/слизистой для предотвращения
воспаления. Если произошел случайный контакт, удалите материал ватой. Промойте сли-
зистую струей воды в достаточном количестве, удаляя промывные воды из полости рта.
Если воспаление слизистой оболочки полости рта сохраняется, обратитесь за медицин-
ской помощью.

2.2 Меры предосторожности

Этот продукт предназначен для использования в строгом соответствии с Инструкцией к при-
менению. Использование данного продукта любым способом, не соответствующим указанно-
му в данной Инструкции, является личным решением практикующего врача, ответственность
за которое несет исключительно он сам.
• Используйте защитные очки, маску, соответствующую форму и перчатки. Для пациентов
рекомендуются защитные очки.
• Контакт со слюной, кровью и жидкостью десневой бороздки во время применения может
стать причиной неудачной реставрации. Для обеспечения адекватной изоляции рекомен-
дуется использование коффердама.
• Для предохранения бутылочек, ложек для порошка и пластин для смешивания от загрязне-
ния жидкостями организма или грязными руками, рекомендуется держать их вне рабочего
поля только в чистых/продезинфицированных перчатках.
• Оттеночная шкала не может быть дезинфицирована. Для предохранения оттеночной шко-
лыот загрязнения жидкостями организма или грязными руками, рекомендуется держать их
вне рабочего поля только в чистых/продезинфицированных перчатках.
• Аппликаторы являются одноразовыми. Выбрасывайте после использования. Не исполь-
зуйте повторно у других пациентов во избежание перекрёстного заражения.
• Высушивающие кристаллы встроены в крышку и/или высушивающая капсула защищает
порошок от адсорбции влаги. Цвет кристаллов должен быть оранжевый. TВысушивающие
кристаллы неактивны после того как они стали из оранжевых бесцветными.
• Плотно закрывайте бутылочку сразу после использования.
• Повышенная температура и/или влажность снижают рабочее время и ускоряют процесс
застывания. Материал будет застывать быстрее во рту, чем на палетке. Не используйте
показатели скорости застывания на палетке для оценки скорости застывания во рту.
• Материал следует смешивать в пропорциях 2 ложки порошка на 2 капли воды для опти-
мального результата. Смешанный материал должен быть гомогенным и без прожилок до
нанесения. Отклонения могут оказывать влияние на прочность и износ материала.
• Используйте в хорошо проветриваемом помещении. Избегать попадания внутрь или дли-
тельное вдыхания.
• ChemVarnish™ является воспламеняющимся: Храните вдали от источников возгорания.
• Не утилизируйте в водостоки.

2.3 Побочные реакции

• Контакт с глазами: Раздражение, возможно повреждение роговицы.
• Контакт с кожей: Раздражение. Возможно появление на коже сыпи красного цвета.
• Контакт со слизистой оболочкой: Воспаление (смотрите раздел «Предостережения»).

2.4 Условия хранения
Ненадлежащие условия хранения сокращают срок службы и могут привести к повреждению
изделия.
• Храните в оригинальных плотно закрытых контейнерах в хорошо проветриваемом поме-
щении при температуре от 2°до 24 °C.
• К моменту использования материал должен быть комнатной температуры.
• Предохраняйте от попадания воды.
• Не используйте по истечении срока годности.

3 Пошаговая инструкция к применению

3.1 Подбор цвета

ChemFil® Superior реставрационный материал предлагается в 7 оттенках:
• L – Светлый, схожий с VITA® оттенок A1
• LY – Светло-желтый, схожий с VITA® оттенок C1
• LYG – Светло-Желто-Серый, схожий с VITA® оттенок A2
• LG – Светло-Серый, схожий с VITA® оттенок B2
• DG - Темно-Серый, схожий с VITA® оттенок D4
• DY – Темно-желтый, схожий с VITA® оттенок A3
• GB – Серо-Коричневый, схожий с VITA® оттенок A4

Выбор оттенка производится с помощью идущей в комплекте цветовой палитры. Потому как
прозрачность и оттенок СИЦ изменяется в течение первого часа после реставрации, цвето-
вая палитра представляет финальные оттенки реставрации.

3.2 Препарирование полости

1. В полостях всех классов препарирование может быть малоинвазивным к удалению кари-
озных тканей.
2. Нет необходимости в создании пунктов дополнительной ретенции, кроме случаев когда
реставрация подвергается высоким нагрузкам.
3. Промойте поверхность водой и удалите избыток влаги с поверхности воздушной струей.
Не пересушивайте зуб – поверхность полости должна быть влажной.
4. Используйте ватные валики или раббердам для изоляции полости от контаминации.

3.3 Очистка
1. Очистите отпрепарированную эмаль и дентин резиновой чашечкой с абразивом или пас-
той для очистки, такой как профилактическая паста Nupro®.
2. Тщательно промойте водой и просушите воздухом.
3. Очистите свежеотпрепарированную эмаль и дентин с помощью воды и просушите возду-
хом.

3.4 Защита пульпы

1. В глубоких полостях покройте дентин, близкий к пульпарной камере (меньше 1  мм)
кальций-содержащей прокладкой (например, Dycal® calcium hydroxide liner, see complete
Instructions for Use), оставляя остальную поверхность полости свободной для бондинга.

3.5 Кондиционирование полости

Для кондиционирования полости можно использовать ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser.
1. Нанесите нужное количество ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser на прилагающуюся палетку или на
стекло.
2. Нанесите ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser в полость, используй аппликатор.
3. Оставьте ChemFil® Tooth Cleanser на 15 секунд.
4. Промойте поверхность водой и удалите избыток влаги с поверхности воздушной струей.
Не пересушивайте зуб – поверхность полости должна быть влажной.

3.6 Установка матрицы
1. В полостях по II классу используйте матрицу (например, AutoMatrix® или Palodent®) и клин.
Адаптация контура матрицы улучшит плотность контакта.
2. Контактные поверхности стальных матриц могут быть покрыты водорастворимым гелем
или масляной смазкой.
3. В полостях V класса можно использовать цервикальные матрицы.

3.7 Дозировка и смешивание

Пропорция для смешивания: 2 ложки порошка: 2 капли жидкости 2.
1. Переверните бутылку с порошком, чтобы встряхнуть порошок.
2. Наполните ложку порошком с избытком и стряхните лишнее с помощью пластинки в бу-
тылке. Порошок должен быть вровень с краями ложки.

ВНИМАНИЕ
Преждевременное застывание материала.
Уменьшение рабочего времени.
1. Держите порошок и жидкость отдельно до смешивания.

3. Нанесети порошок на прилагающуюся палетку или на стекло 3. Особые шпатели не требу-

ются.
4. Разделите порошок на 2 части.
5. Наполните диспенсер для водя дистиллированной или деонизированной водой.
6. Выдавите 2 капли воды мягким нажатием, держа бутылку вертикально.
7. Смешайте первую часть с водой за 5 секунд или меньше, потом добавьте вторую часть и
смешивайте в течение 10 секунд – максимум 20 секунд. Консистенция смешанного мате-
риала должна напоминать композитную смолу.

3.8 Рабочее время и время отверждения 4

• Рабочее время с начала смешивания приблизительно 2 минуты.
• Время отверждения с окончания смешивания от 2 до 3 минут.

3.9 Внесение
1. Избегайте попадания на пломбу слюны или воды во время внесения.
2. Замешанный цемент плотно упакуйте в полость и создайте контур подходящей матрицей.
3. Держите матрицу на месте как минимум 4 минуты.
4. Немедленно после удаления матрицы, покройте реставрацию ChemVarnish™.
5. Нанесите нужно количество ChemVarnish™ на прилагающуюся палетку или на стекло.
6. Нанесите ChemVarnish™ на реставрационную поверхность с помощью аппликатора.
7. Высушите слой варниша с помощью воздуха.
8. Для того, чтобы создать сплошное покрытие, нанесите второй слой варниша.

Замешивание и внесение материала должно проводиться при комнатной температуре. Высокие темпе-
ратуры сокращают время отверждения цемента. В условиях с высокими температурами или когда нужно
пролонгировать рабочее время, рекомендуется использовать предварительно охлажденное стекло для сме-
шивания цемента. С целью тестирования, согласно ISO 9917 материал тестировался при 23 °C ± 1 °C и в
относительной влажности 50 ± 10%.

3.10 Финишная обработка
Между 7 минутами и 24 часами после нанесения:
Полировку лучше всего проводить в следующее посещение. Тем не менее, реставрации до-
вольно стойки к обработке и полировке без воды уже приблизительно через 7 минут после
установки.
1. Полировка и обработка инструменты должны быть обработаны вазелином. Не используй-

2. Прежде чем отпускать пациента, реставрацию следует покрыть ChemVarnish™ для предо-
твращения дегидратации и попадания влаги.

Если заканчиваете позднее, чем через 24 часа после нанесения:

1. Обрызгивание водой может применяться в процессе окончания реставрации.
2. Реставрацию не нужно покрывать ChemVarnish™ для защиты.
3. Удалите излишки материала финишными борами и отполируйте поверхность полировоч-
ными дисками или штрипсами.
4. Придайте реставрации окончательный блеск с помощью полировочных чашечек и пасты.
Рекомендуется использовать полировочную систему Enhance®.

3.11 Очистка инструментов

Стеклоиономеры сильно приклеиваются к инструментам и стеклу для замешивания.
1. Сразу же после использования, либо очистите инструменты с помощью воды, или погрузи-
те в дезинфицирующий раствор, что бы облегчить последующую очистку.

4 Гигиена

1. Оттеночная шкала не может быть продезинфицирована.
2. Для предупреждения загрязнения шкалы оттенков брызгами или каплями
биологическогической установки брать шкалу оттенков только руками в
чистых/стерильных перчатках. Не используйте шкалу, если она загрязнена.
3. Утилизируйте загрязненную оттеночную шкалу в соответствии с местным
законодательством.

1. Не используйте одноразовые капсулы повторно. Утилизируйте согласно
местному законодательству.
