Dear Ms.Abarca,  
I am Dayanara Bautista a senior at merced high school. I am currently at the 
end of my high school career and will soon be attending merced community 
college. For a while i was conflicting with myself in trying to decide my major, 
but now I have figured out I want to major in something with agriculture. I have 
recently saw on Ag jobs that you were looking for a qualifying candidate to 
help around your ranch with crops and animals.I believe I would be a good fit 
because it would help me with more hands on experience compared to what I 
have now. I would gain more knowledge and more skills that could help me 
with my major and future career later on.  

Over the course of 4 years I have been involved with the Merced FFA chapter. 
I have been enrolled in the agriculture chemistry, biology, earth science, floral 
and animal science classes. Not only have i been enrolled and hands on in 
these classes but I have also raised and exhibited market swine. Throughout 
my 4 years in agriculture I have been able to have hands on experiences 
whether it be studying crops and soil, identifying plants and different animal 
breeds, and even working with my advisor Mr.Mua to learn more about swine 
and how to get mine to where i needed him to be. I believe having this hands 
on experience and a more in depth knowledge of agriculture it will help me 
alot with this internship and trying to learn more even.
