ACCOMMODATION

You will be staying at The River Hostel (http://riverhostelvalencia.com/

en/ ), really well placed, next to the very center of the city.

The price will be of 49€ both nights.

In case it isn’t available, we have other options around the same price.

DAY 1: Friday 13

This is going to be the first day of a beautiful weekend in Valencia. We

hope you’ll enjoy it so much!

We don’t want you to miss a day from the hospital, so we planned your
arrival to be on the evening. If you get sooner to Valencia, tell us so we
can advise you on what could you do until we start with the social plan.

When you get to Valencia the first stop will be the hostel where you will
stay for the weekend.

We will provide you with a Bonobus, which is a card with 10 bus tickets
that we will be used for traveling to the different places we will visit
during these days (Bonobus: 10€)

After leaving your luggage at the hostel, we’ll take the bus and we will
have dinner at the beach. We will bring some tables and chairs, as well
as drinks and food (5€ each person). You have to worry about nothing
except having fun!
After dinner, we will go to some really nice clubs on the beach to party.
Those who rather go rest to the hostel, can take a nocturne bus (Line
N1). Drinks will be at your own cost!

DAY 2: Saturday 14

You could not come to Valencia and leave without swimming in our
beaches, or sightseeing La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, so today
will be focused on it. We will meet near to your hostel.

First, we will take the bus (probably line 95) to La Ciudad de las Artes y
las Ciencias. There you can visit the museum if you want (tickets will not
be included), or walk along the riverbed (which used to have water but
they deviated it and now it is a beautiful park).
After this, we will take the bus to the beach.

Do not forget your swimsuit, flip-flops, solar cream (seriously, keep

dermatology in mind!) and water. We will take some umbrellas with us
so you can have some shadow.

We will take you to Las Arenas, and we will have lunch there. If we have
time maybe we can
go to the beach
before lunch, if we
do not, don’t worry,
we will go after. We
will have lunch at
Las Carabelas, and
there we’ll taste
“Paella Valenciana”
the most typical
dish from our city.
You can’t leave without trying it! (Price of the menu: 15€)

After lunch we will come back to the beach.

In the evening we will take a bus

to go to the Albufera for a boat
trip. The Albufera is a sweet water
lake kept away from the sea by
only 1-2 km. The visit will include
seeing the traditional houses of
peasants in the area, the so-called
“barracas”; and the explanation
and view of the rice crops, of
great economical importance in
the past, and, if you are lucky enough, some unique migratory birds
could be spotted. But the best part of the bat trip is watching the
sunset over the lake. Absolutely astonishing! (Boat trip: 8€)
Once finished we will head back to Valencia for dinner and party (or rest
ing if you prefer it). The party will be at the center of Valencia, El Barrio
del Carmen. We recommend you to try Agua de Valencia, a typical
drink from our city. Dinner and drinks will be at your own cost.

DAY 3: Sunday 15

Last, but not least, the final day in Valencia. For this day we have
left the guided city center tour. The tour will be in the morning and
it will take several hours. The hottest hours will catch us walking, so
get ready!

The tour will start at the cathedral square (commonly knows as La

Seu) and it will cover the ancient history of Valencia. After focusing
on the temple we will continue through the old city, visiting the
muslim and medieval doors of the city (including its inside) until
arriving to the first psychiatric hospital in the world.
After this we will take a short break to taste
one of our most famous drinks, Orxata. It’s a
sweet, refreshing drink, perfect for a quick
rest before continuing with the tour.

The second part takes us to visit the

University foundation building (La Nau), a
glance to some palaces and buildings and to
finish, the most emblematic modernist buildings in our city: the
Nord Station and the Colon Market. Modernism in Spain goes
further than the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

Once the visit is finished, it will be time for lunch and goodbyes.

We will be near the city centre so we will find a cheap place to eat
something. After that, you will be free to buy some souvenirs, and
go back to your cities.

We hope that you like our plan, and if you come that you enjoy
every day in Valencia!
