Abundance of Grace

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON CAMPUS?

The spring semester is off to a delightful start! Returning to campus
after the SEEK2019 conference, many students have a new or renewed
zeal for God & souls. This has been a springboard for mission at
Kansas State!

My Bible Study is journeying through a series called "The Feminine

Genius". As a group, we will explore what it means to be a woman.
There is a certain “genius” to being a woman, & today’s world is in
need of that genius. More than ever, it seems, our culture needs the
witness of authentic femininity. Being a woman is an incredible gift.
God has made us good, and he wants us to share our gift! I look
forward to watching my girls accept this truth!

I am still accompanying three women in discipleship (Maggie, Kaylor,

and Jessica). Maggie is discipling Emily, Emily is about to invite a
freshman into discipleship, & Kaylor is now discipling Elizabeth &
Leah. Spiritual Multiplication is happening and I have no doubt that
your prayers are the ignition.

We know that a soul who encounters the Lord can never live the same
- This is why I am in Kansas and I know this is why you support me so
generously. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent (John 17:3). Thank you for
accompanying me on this endeavor to bring souls to freedom through
Jesus Christ alone!

"SEEK opened up my heart to understand my true purpose as the Lord’s

daughter. I had always thought the end goal of man was evangelism
until the speakers at this conference explained that our purpose is so
much deeper than just telling people who God is but embodying His
unconditional love. SEEK taught me that the best form of evangelism
is loving people with the unconditional love of the Father."

OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE
Mexico City, Mexico

TEAM DIRECTOR SUMMIT OUR LADY OF WHO ???

The South Area FOCUS leadership team "What is all this talk about Our Lady of
organized a pilgrimage trip for all team Guadalupe?", you might ask
directors in the south. The time spent
there was focused around prayer, In 1531 a "Lady from Heaven"
appeared to St. Juan Diego, a poor
formation, unity of vision, & community Indian from Tepeyac, a hill northwest
among staff. of Mexico City. She identified herself
as the Mother of the True God and
instructed him to have the bishop build
a church onsite & left an image of
herself imprinted miraculously on his
tilma, a poor quality cactus-cloth. The
tilma should have deteriorated within
20 years but shows no sign of decay
after 470+ years. To this day it defies
all scientific explanations of its origin.
At the time, the Aztecs offered
annually at least 20,000 men, women
and children in human sacrifice to
their gods. In 1487, just in a single 4
day long ceremony for the dedication
of a new temple in Tenochtitlan, some
80,000 captives were killed in human
sacrifice. But following the
Apparitions of our Blessed Mother &
the miracle of the blessed tilma in 1531,
over 9 million Aztecs converted to
Christianity in little over a decade.
It is believed that the name ‘Guadalupe’
came about because of the translation
from Nahuatl to Spanish, of the words
used by the Virgin during the
apparition. Our Lady used the Aztec
Nahuatl word of “coatlaxopeuh” which
is pronounced “quatlasupe” and
sounds remarkably like the Spanish
word Guadalupe. 'Coa' meaning
serpent, 'tla' being the noun ending
which can be interpreted as “the”,
while xopeuh means to crush or stamp
out.
So Our Lady must have called herself
the one “who crushes the serpent.”
