Script: “MBA and Undergrad of Sally Ibrahim; The change in scenery”

Good morning this is Adham Ouda speaking out of AUC radio and today here with me is
Sally Ibrahim from AUC.
This audio feature aims to show the life and times of a student in AUC who goes from
undergrad to masters and her journey in that progression. She discusses the education
level received and what more she wants out of AUC.

And so we begin the story of Sally Ibrahim

Sally is currently doing her masters program in psychology with the hope to one day be
a guidance counselor in an international school. She did her undergrad in auc and said
she found the education to be

[00:01:58] I actually thought it was better than what I

expected. [00:01:59][1.4]

Speaking admirably about the program she said

[00:05:06] The program's two years eight months without
prerequisites this would be three years and a half. It's going
well. The only like negative is the length. To be honest it's
very long. [00:05:19][13.0]

Going into AUC there is a certain level of knowledge that you need to have acquired throughout
your life, a basic iq that helps you succeed. A minimum gpa of 2.0 is required from an
accredited school. AUC though according to sally needs to change, an improvement according
to her is needed as she states

[00:01:04] I think we need more education than just the

undergraduates to actually you know be successful outside of
AUC. [00:01:12][8.4]
Full of solutions she then goes on to say that whats needed is

[00:01:37] I think there maybe should be like a training or

internship fresh work opportunities that's not just like
Secretariat in if you're working at the library something that
could help us get a job right after we graduate.

The price of AUC is 30000 per course, Sally believes that courses need to drop in price and that
AUC needs to change the pricing even going so far as to say

[00:02:33] So I think they're comparatively it's too much it's

too expensive it's too expensive. [00:02:39][6.2]
[00:02:55] It's a good university of course and the club
opportunities are good to, however its too expensive so the
administration should help the students out more with tuition
OK. [00:03:05][9.8]

[00:03:18] 10000 per course I think a thousand for 10000

records. [00:03:22][4.0]
[00:03:23] That's like 300 dollars per class. since its auc and
they want to make it dollars thats fair.[00:03:25][2.0]
