Revolutionary Innovation in

Package Sewage Treatment Plant

For Clean, Green & Healthy India

In Collaboration with
M/s. Aqua Nishihara Corporation, Japan.
Disadvantages of Centralized
Sewage Treatment Plant
Management system of any city consists of collection, treatment and
disposal.

In CTS, about 80% of the cost goes for collection & conveyance which
is very high.

Depth of sewer increases with increase of length of sewer line.

Pumping of sewage at the intermediate and terminal points requires a

lot of energy.

Very large volume of sewage & also distance of conveyance, to the STP
which are generally located outside of the cities, is long.
Advantages of Decentralized
Sewage Treatment Plant
In decentralized treatment system, sewage treatment system can
be obtained by providing colony wise / sector-wise treatment system.

Responsibility of construction as well as O & M may be taken up by the

residential colonies, builders- developers.

Compact Package plant is simple to operate.

It is mostly based on gravity and requires very less energy.

It requires minimal maintenance, land & consumables for reducing operating

cost.

Sintex – NBF series highlight the advantages of smaller decentralized local units
for treatment of communal waste water / sewage especially in area where
developing urbanization has to integrate with the environment.
Operations Principle of
SINTEX PSTP:
Solid Separation Zone :
First stage transforms influent solids to settled solids while allowing scum to
float. The settled sludge is stabilized by anaerobic digestion.

Aeration Zone:
Second stage is aerobic zone with plastic media inside the tank which
increases surface area and retain micro-organism long enough to digest the organic
Waste.
Air is provided through blowers and more contacting time with the slime on
the plastic media, occurred, more efficient the digestion process would be.

Final Sedimentation Zone:

Final stage involves the sedimentation where organic wastes are settled in the
sedimentation zone.
The settled waste in the bottom of the tank is pumped back to the Solid
Separation zone as a return sludge having active biomass (MLSS) to increase the
efficiency of the system.
