The Model PC20 Configurator is a powerful Windows® 95, Windows NT®, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 based
software and hardware package with external modem(s) providing remote bidirectional communications with
intelligent field devices having FoxCom or HART communication protocol. The software also supports the Common
Practice and Universal HART commands for HART devices of other brands.

than with the hand-held configurator.
This package provides an ideal means of
preconfiguring Intelligent Transmitters or Positioners.
Once the databases have been preconfigured, they
can be easily downloaded from a desktop, laptop, or
palmtop computer to the device after installation.

Operating System
The PC20 Configurator hardware/software package
is designed to run from a PC with a Windows NT,
Windows 95, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
operating system. It does not run with a Windows 3.1
or Windows CE operating system.
NOTE
Windows 98 and Windows ME® are not
supported operating systems. However,
problems are not expected when using the
PC20 with these operating systems.

Computer Requirements
The package includes an external modem that allows
operation with any Windows compatible computer
with the following minimum requirements:
 133 MHz Pentium® with 32 MB RAM or better
 4x CD-ROM Drive (8x recommended)
 Hard drive with 16 MB of space for PC20
 RS-232 Serial Port (COM1 or COM2)
 Parallel Port (LPT1 or LPT2) to print reports
 Mouse or compatible pointing device
Communication with Foxboro Intelligent Devices uses
proven frequency shift keying (FSK) techniques that
do not affect the device output signal.
