™ Getting Started
For a new user of this dock, we would like to suggest you follow the illustrations below to begin
to use the dock.

How to Use This Service Manual

This Service Manual provides instructions and illustration of installing the key parts of the dock.
This Service Manual describes an explanation of assembling and disassembling the dock. Each
topic may be related with each other; hence you are highly recommended to read this guide
from cover to cover first. After that, you may go directly to any specific topic that most meets
your immediate needs.

Necessary Tools
The following tools may be needed while performing the installation procedures on the dock:

Š A cross type screwdriver

Š A antistatic wrist-strap
Š A grounded wrist-strap
Š A grounded antistatic pad

Safety Precautions
The following precautions should be observed in handling the dock in this guide:

Š Place the dock on a flat and stable surface.

Š Do not place the dock in environments subject to mist, smoke, vibration, excessive
dust, salty or greasy air, or other corrosive gases and fumes.
Š Do not drop or jolt the dock
Š Do not use another power cord other than the one enclosed with the dock.
Š Do not perform any maintenance with wet hands.
Š Prevent foreign substances, such as water, other liquids or chemicals, from entering
the dock while performing installation procedures.
Š Use a antistatic wrist-strap through the entire process
Š Place components (graphics card, HDD, etc) on a grounded antistatic pad or on the
bed that came with the components whenever the components are separated from the
dock.
Š If there are any difficulties installing hardware devices, please contact your dealer for
further information.

dealer or service center, since it may cause the warranty void. It is strongly recommended to
contact the authorized dealer or service center for any upgrade or replace service.

Unpack the shipping carton and check all items carefully. If any item contained is damaged or
missing, please contact your local dealer immediately.

™ Installation and Adjustment

How to Open the Cover

1. Turn the logo side facing up.
2. Remove total 6 screws from as illustrated from left to right.
3. Remove the cover carefully.
4. Disconnect both LED, speaker cables.
5. Loose screws on the upper bracket.
6. Lift the bracket, and remove cables through the hole of the cover.

How to Install Graphics Card

Please prepare a compatible PCIE x 16 (Gen3) graphics card. Note that the graphics card may
not be included in the package. Refer to "Open the Cover" section to uncover and loose the
upper bracket.

1. Align graphics card slot and push down the graphic card.
2. Secure the graphics card.
3. Attach power connectors with fool-proof design as illustrated.
4. Graphics card installed.
5. Trim wires to hooks marked below

How to Install Hard Disk Drive

Refer to "Open the Cover" section to uncover and loose the upper bracket. Please prepare a
compatible 3.5" HDD for the dock.

1. Loose external screws that fastened the HDD bracket.

2. Loose internal screws and remove the bracket upward.
3. Use the accompanied 4 HDD screws to secure the HDD, each 2 on both sides.
4. Connect SATA data cable and power cable to HDD.
5. Secure HDD back to the dock and attach SATA cable to the motherboard. Organize the
power cable to hooks.

How to Adjust Fan Speed

The dock is equipped with fan speed control function. For users intend to adjust fan speed, they
need to uncover (refer to "How to Open the Cover" section) and locate below fan connector.
FAN Speed Control: High / Mid / Low (default).

所需工具
組裝擴充基座零組件過程可能需要以下工具：

Š 一支十字螺絲起子
Š 一個防靜電手環
Š 一個接地手環
Š 一個接地防靜電桌墊

安全注意事項
在操作擴充基座時，請注意以下幾點：

Š 將擴充基座放置於平坦、穩固的平台。
Š 請勿將擴充基座暴露在多霧、多煙、易震、過多灰塵、鹹味或油氣重，或其他具腐蝕性
的氣體和煙霧等環境。
Š 請勿將擴充基座重摔或搖晃擴充基座。
Š 請勿使用非包裝所附的電源線。
Š 請勿以濕手進行維護動作。
Š 在擴充基座內進行安裝，避免讓水、其他液體或化學物質等外來物質滲入擴充基座。
Š 操作過程中請全程配戴靜電環。
Š 將零組件（顯卡或硬碟等）從擴充基座中取出時，請放置於有接地的防靜電墊。
Š 在安裝硬體部份有任何問題，請洽當地經銷商以獲得更多資訊。

™ 安裝及調整

如何打開上蓋
1. MSI logo 標示面請朝上。
2. 如圖示拆下螺絲，從左至右共 6 個螺絲。
3. 往上小心移開上蓋。
4. 解開 LED 和喇叭排線接頭。
5. 拆下鐵片上的螺絲。
6. 把 LED 和喇叭排線穿下去，接著把鐵片拿起來。

如何安裝顯卡
請準備一張與擴充基座規格相容的 PCIE x 16 3.0 顯卡。請參考「如何打開上蓋」 部份，先將上
蓋打開，取下鐵片。

1. 將顯卡對準 PCIE x 16 3.0 插槽後向下壓。

2. 以螺絲固定顯卡。
3. 如下圖所示，接到有防呆設計的電源接頭。
4. 顯卡安裝成功。
5. 將電源線整理到理線鉤。

如何安裝硬碟
請參考「如何打開上蓋」 部份，先將上蓋打開及取下鐵片。請準備一顆與擴充基座規格相容的
3.5 英吋硬碟。

1. 鬆開固定硬碟支架的外部螺絲。
2. 鬆開內部螺絲，將支架往上移除。
3. 以包裝隨附的 4 顆螺絲固定硬碟，左右各鎖 2 顆。
4. 將 SATA 傳輸線(藍)和電源線接到硬碟。
5. 將硬碟重新鎖回擴充基座，再將 SATA 另一端排線接到主機板，並將電源線整理到理線鉤。

如何調整風扇轉速
擴充基座搭載風扇轉速控制功能。若使用者想調整風扇轉速，請參考「如何打開上蓋」 部份，先
將上蓋打開，找到如下所示調整風扇接頭。風扇轉速控制：高/ 中/ 低（預設）。

™ 安装及调整
如何打开上盖

4. 断开两个 LED，扬声器线缆。
5. 拆下铁片上的螺丝
6. 抬起支架，并通过孔盖取下电缆线。

如何安装显卡
请准备一个兼容 PCIE x 16 (第三代) 的显卡。需要注意的是显卡可能没有列入在包裝中。并参考

「如何打开上盖」一节揭开和适度松散该上支架。

1. 对齐显卡插槽，并向下按压显卡。
2. 固定显卡。
3. 连接如图所示带有防呆设计的电源接头。
4. 安装显卡。
5. 整理电源线。

如何安装硬盘驱动器
请参考「如何打开上盖」一节揭开和适度松散上支架。并准备一个兼容扩展基座规格的 3.5" HDD。.

1. 松散固定硬盘支架的外部螺丝。
2. 松散内部螺丝并取下支架向上。
3. 使用在各两侧各 2 个 HDD 螺丝来固定硬盘。
4. 连接 SATA 数据线和电源线至硬盘上。
5. 将硬盘重新锁回扩充基座，再将 SATA 另一端扁平电缆接到主板，并将电源线整理到理线
钩。

扩展基座配有风扇转速控制功能。对于用户打算调整风扇转速，他们需要揭开(请参考「如何打开

上盖」一节)并找到如下所示风扇接口。风扇转速控制：高/中/低（默认）。
