Administrator Duties:
Provides leadership for building including curriculum, assessment, instruction,
and school improvement.
Evaluates and mentors staff performance
Develops and communicates school mission, vision, values and goals with all
stake holders
Creates and maintains a safe environment for all students and staff
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
School Background:
Michigan Collegiate is a charter school serving grades 7-12 located in Warren Michigan.
Michigan Collegiate is one of two schools that make up the Conner Creek Academy
East School District. The district is authorized by Ferris State University. Michigan
Collegiate currently has 595 students enrolled in grades 7-12 including 338 males and
257 females, 90 of which receive special education services. 582 students identify as
African American and 525 students are economically disadvantaged. Michigan
Collegiate is unique in the fact that the majority of its students lived outside the
community in which it is located. Students are bused in from neighboring communities,
mostly from Detroit. Michigan Collegiate has seen a high rate of teacher turnover over
the last couple years. Middle School English and Science were vacant for the 2017-
2018 school year and were taught by long term subs.
