The diagram below gives information about the number of parcels delivered by two major mail services companies from
1920 to 2000.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

The line chart illustrates how many parcels were sent through two major mail services companies between 1920 and 2000,
a period of 80 years.

Overall, although the number of parcels delivered by FedEx remained higher during most of the last century, TNT overtook
it in the later decades.

Between 1920 and 1940, the number of parcels delivered by FedEx fairly grew from 15,000 to about 24,000. This figure
then sharply dropped to nearly 12,500 over the next 20 years. During the next two decades, it, however, slowly rose by
almost 5,000. The number of parcels delivered by FedEx levelled off at around 17,000 over the following decades.

In contrast, TNT made approximately 5,000 deliveries in 1920, a figure that is only about a third of what FedEx delivered
in that same year. This number gradually increased by roughly 7,000 by the year 1960. Since then till 1980, the number of
parcels delivered by TNT remained stable at around 12,000. It then dramatically climbed to a peak of 24,000 in 2000.
