National Conference on Higher Education (NCHE) is an established platform for
researchers, academics and practitioners to deliberate new ideas, discuss
existing practices and develop strategies for the development of the higher
education sector of Pakistan.

5th NCHE 2019 aims at finding ways and means to address issues of higher
education sector with the theme of “Challenges of Quality Higher Education in
Pakistan”

NCHE is an annual event that gathers experts on higher education from all
around Pakistan. There is significant dynamism in the higher education sector,
which requires frequent reflections. Therefore, NCHE provides an excellent
opportunity annually to relevant experts to assemble with a new focus every
year and develop a roadmap of their activities for next 365 days. Spectacular
technological and socioeconomic developments demand collaborative efforts
to create the required impact on the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for
enhanced performance to meet future needs.

Last year, participants had thought provoking interactions around the theme of
“Higher Education and Sustainable Development”. Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmed
(Rector Riphah International University Islamabad) was the chief guest of 4 th
NCHE 2018.

Objectives
 To provide a platform for deliberating impediments and their solutions
to ensure quality higher education in Pakistan.

 To facilitate dialogue among relevant stakeholders, including policy

makers, academics and scholars to provide quality higher education to
the society.

 To discuss prospects for quality higher education and capabilities of HEIs

in delivering the desired objective.
