I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to;
• Identify adjectives in a phrase/sentence
• Describe a noun using adjectives
• Show willingness in the activities

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Adjectives
Reference: Mendoza, Gerraine, “New Journey to English 2”, Keafs Publishing,
Marilao, bUlacan, 2017, pp 252-260
Materials: mystery box (which consist of chocolate, marshmallow, doll and perfume),
Values: Cooperation

B. Motivation

Here is what we are going to do.


You will pass these balls with your
classmates while the song is playing but
when the music stop you will stop
passing the ball. Then I will pick a color
from the small box then the one who is
holding the ball with the color I picked
will come in the front to pick an object
inside the mystery box.

Describing words are also known as
Adjectives.

It is word that modifies or describes a noun.
Adjectives are words that are used to
describe nouns.

E. Application
Do you want to play a game? Yes.
I will group you into two groups. I have
here “Dora’s bag”.
Do you who Dora is? Yes!
Majority of you know her, we are aware
that her bag is full of many things.
Right?

Now, here’s the mechanics


1. Each group should have six
representatives and the members should
decide who is the leader.
2. The leader is the one who will pick
the objects in Dora’s bag and will
describe it to his/her members.
Remember that the objects should NOT
be seen by the other members. If your
members see it there will be a deduction
in your score.
3. The members are going to identify
what object did their leader describes
and look for the answer in the basket of
balls then shoot the ball with the answer
to the other basket.
4. The group who will have a highest
point is the winner.
