WORLD SKATE - EXAM TECHNICAL SPECIALIST/CONTROLLER

To get the title of Technical Specialist/Controller, for the World Skate competitions in the discipline/s
chosen, the test will be ruled as follows:

For applicants who are already World Skate International judges:

- Written part .There will be 25 questions multiple choices (4). Among the 4 choices, one, two, three or
all the four answers can be correct. The 80% of the answers given by the applicant must be correct.

Questions will be based on the documents: Rollart 2.0 (of the discipline chosen), Rollart – Artistic
Impression and Rollart –Code of ethics.

- Practical part. The applicant will be asked to watch 3 videos (1 short program, 2 long programs) and
call the elements as if he/she was in a real panel. Even if the written part is good, if the judge fails the
practical part he/she will not get through the test. He/she will be also asked to analyze a “PDF form” of
a real competition and answer questions on it.

For applicants who are NOT already World Skate - International judges:

- Written part . There will be 40 questions multiple choices (4). Among the 4 choices, one, two, three
or all the four answers can be correct. The 80% of the answers (80% of the General questions and
80% of the Technical questions on the discipline)given by the applicant must be correct.

- Practical part. The applicant will be asked to watch 3 videos (1 short program, 2 long programs) and
call the elements as if he/she was in a real panel. Even if the written part is good, if the judge fails the
practical part he/she will not get through the test. He/she will be also asked to analyze a “PDF form”of
a real competition and answer questions on it.

Impression and Rollart –Code of ethics plus all the general part of the World Skate Artistic Rule book
2018.

For those who want to apply to two disciplines there will be 22 technical questions more on the
second discipline.

IMPORTANT

Written Part
- It is not allowed to leave questions unanswered.
- It is allowed 1 hour maximum for the written test for International judges and 1
hour 30 minutes for not yet International Judges.
- 30 minutes more will be allowed if also the second discipline is chosen for the test.

Practical Part
- The applicants must demonstrate self-confidence in calling the elements.
- For at least one of the three videos the applicants should not make mistakes.
- For the other two videos the 90% of the calls must be correct.
