Parents, please occupy the front seats for we will start in a few minutes.

Every elementary and secondary school shall organize a Parents-Teachers Association

(PTA) for the purpose of providing a forum for the discussion of issues and their
solutions related to the total school program and to ensure the full cooperation of
parents in the efficient implementation of such program. The PTA shall serve as
support group and as a significant partner of the school whose relationship shall be
defined by cooperative and open dialogue to promote the welfare of the students.
Regular fora may be conducted with local government units, civic organizations and
other stakeholders to foster unity and cooperation. Today’s assembly is just one of the
many meetings we will conduct for this school year.

To our school head, Mrs. Noemi S. Carlobos, teachers, parents, students, ladies and
gentlemen, a pleasant morning and welcome to the second Parents-Teachers
Association Assembly, First Quarter Recognition Day and Portfolio Day for the school
year 2018-2019 of the Matag-ob Stand Alone Senior High School.

To start with, may I request everyone to please stand up for the opening prayer to be
led by Angel Grace Dela Cruz, a grade 12 student, to be followed by the singing of the
Philippine National Anthem by Mrs. Mary Ann Maningo, Master Teacher II and DepEd
Leyte Hymn by Mrs. Allyvic Otero, Teacher III.

In accordance with the general policy reflected in the DepEd Order No. 54, series of
2009 entitled the Revised Guidelines Governing Parents-Teachers Associations (PTAs)
at the School Level dated June 1, 2009 on the conduct of PTA meetings, we have
conducted the first Parents-Teachers Association Assembly last June 29, 2018 for the
School Year 2018-2019. And we are gathered here today for our second PTA
conference. To read us the minutes of the 1 st PTA Conference, let us have Mrs
Christine Baroro.

And to formally open today’s assembly and to give the state of the school address, let
us welcome on stage our school head, Mrs. Noemi. S. Carlobos.

In this juncture, may I call Mrs. Mary Ann Maningo for the presentation of authorized
school contribution for the school year 2018-2019.

If you have any questions regarding the school activities, queries on the report of our
school head, and the presentation of Mrs Maningo regarding your annual contribution,
feel free to share your thoughts now.
Thank you so much for expressing your thoughts. Are there any other questions?
Since, no one is raising his/her hands, I believe there are no more questions from our
parents. To break the monotony of the program, ladies and gentlemen, let us all
welcome the Matag-ob Stand Alone Senior High School Dance Club for an intermission
number. Wow, these two have just proven that the students of Matag-ob Stand Alone
Senior High School are only good in academics but they also excel in other aspect,
specifically in the Kinesthetic intelligence according to Howard Gardner. At this point,
we will proceed to the part of the gathering which is not only awaited by the students,
but also by their proud parents- the Recognition for the first quarter of this school year.
May I request Mrs. Noemi S. Carlobos to award the certificates and the advisers to
assist in the giving of certificates. Also, dear parents, once your students are called,
please escort them as they receive their certificates. Let us start with Grade 11 ABM,
then GAS and HUMSS to be followed by TVL- Cookery and CSS. Afterwards, we will
have Grade 12 ABM and GAS.

Congratulations to our dear students and of course to their proud and supportive
parents. I was also a consistent honor student before and that was because of the
support and hard work that my parents had given and exerted. I am quite sure that
these honor students we have today are very much thankful for their parents. Maybe
some of you might ask “Pila diay kaha ang grado sa akong anak nga na honor man
siya?” or may be the opposite “Pila ra kaha diay intawn ang kuha sa akong anak nga
wa man siya na honor?” To answer these questions, we will proceed to the signing of
our learners’ school cards. If you are not familiar with the advisers of your students,
allow me to present to you the advisers. Advisers, please stand up once you are called.
For the Grade 11 GAS section Aguinaldo, we have Mrs. Jessa Mejos. For Grade 11
Bonifacio is Mr. Francisco Maningo. The adviser for Grade 11 ABM section Rizal is
Mrs. Allyvic Otero. For Grade 11 HUMSS section Palma is Miss Chloe Joyce Mise.
Grade 11 Cookery section Luna is Mr. Alvin Rojas, and section Mabini is Miss Crisrty
Almoroto. Miss Christine Costa here is the adviser of Grade 11 CSS section Del Pilar.
For the Grade 12, Mrs. Mary Ann Maningo is the adviser of section Aquino, Miss
Lazarina Fernandez is the adviser of De Jesus, Mrs. Christine Baroro for Escoda, Mr.
Jonathan Ramirez is the adviser of Florentino and the adviser for Grade 12 ABM
section Silang is Miss Novelyn Donaire. Just approach the advisers of your learners to
sign their cards. We also have booths which showcase the outputs of our learners for
this quarter. Feel free to roam around, take a look and the outputs of your students
might be among the best and were chosen to be displayed today.

Parents and students, congratulations once again, and thank you for coming. Good
day!
