Intolerance makes family be separate from each other. Germany was in economic
depression because the Treaty of Versailles said Germany had to pay all the reparation for World
War 1. Also the Treaty of Versailles had lead to World War 2 . Oskar Schindler evolves during
the events of the Holocaust from a perpetrator, to a bystander, and then to an upstander. Which
In the beginning of the film Oskar Schindler is a perpetrator. For example, when
Schindler tried to fit in with the German Nazis by buying them drinks and food, having fun with
them. Ths reveals that, schindler is a perpetrator because he knew that they were bad and evil
persons. In addition, Schindler is a perpetrator because he took advantage of the Jews to work in
his factory without getting paid so he can keep all the money. It is evidence that Schindler is a
selfish man and wasn’t a good person because he had the Jewish people working as slaves, only
care about money doesn’t have feelings for nobody. Schindler wasn’t a good person at the
beginning.
However, Schindler at the liquidation of the Ghetto in 1943, he was watching how the
Jews were being killed and doesn’t do nothing about it. Which shows that oskar was being a
Bystander. Another example was when an old man with only one arm got shot, schindler didn’t

help and just let the nazi shot him. In addition, in the liquidation of the ghetto there was a little
girl walking alone with one one. Schindler was watching her the whole time , he seemed shocked
about or worry. Although he saw the girl alone he didn’t do anything to help her or protect her.
We can see an example of Oskar Schindler as a upstander when an old man that couldn’t
do to much in the factory was going to be shot, but Schindler saved his life because he knew that
the old man life was in danger . the old man was thankful. Another example, he was changing
when the Jewish were in the train to be killed. Schindler has hosed the train with water so they
don't suffer from the hotness because there was just too many people in the train. He gave them
water even though he knew Amon didn’t like it. “They’re mine ,” Oskar had said that all the
Jews in his factory were his . This shows that Oskar changed a lot to a perpetrator, to a bystander
and finally to a upstander. By being an upstander Schindler saved 11 thousand Jews. “Only one
more person.”- Schindler. Schindler thinks he didn't save enough Jewish, but he did. He saved
many kids that will be able to grow, and have their family will have kids, and the generation will
keep on going thanks to Oskar Schindler. “If you save one life you save the world entire.”
In conclusion, Schindler had a big change by being a clever, opportunist person to a great
and caring person. A man that saved many lives . If Oskar Schindler didn’t save those Jews
many Jews would have been killed. He would not have been remembered for being a great
person . What people can learn from this film is that people can change and avoid intolerance
and start to build empathy . It's important for everyone to not promote intolerance.
