Annotated Bibliography: Princess Diana- charity

“Charitable Work.” The Diana Award, http://dianaslegacy.co.uk/charitable-

work/
This website was directly pointed at Diana’s charity work. This source was used for
pictures of Diana and also a quick summary of her work.
Many of these pictures I can use on my website.

“Diana’s Charities.” BBC News, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/

politics97/diana/dichar2.html
I used this website for more background on her work. This was written after she died so
it was a recap of how she helped people. It explained how much she actually cared
about what she was doing and didn’t do it for fame.

Fincher, Jayne. “Princess Diana’s Charity Work And Causes.” The

Telegraph, March 1991, https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/
picturegalleries/royalty/8992717/Princess-Dianas-charity-work-and-
causes.html?image=9
This is a third primary source. It is just a photo of Princess Diana sitting with sick kids
and talking to them. She was visiting sick kids.

Frost, Katie. “9 Reasons Princess Diana Was So Much More Than A

Style Icon.” Harpers Bazaar, 31 August 2018, https://
www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/features/a9639085/princess-diana-
charity-work/
This website proved how Diana was a genuinely good person. Many people thought she
was a dumb pretty blonde but this showed that she wasn’t. I used this for information on
how she impacted the lives of others.

John, Tara. “How Princess Diana’s Humanitarian Causes Have Fared, 20

Years On.” Time, 25 August 2017, http://time.com/4914377/princess-
diana-humanitarian-work/
I really liked the quality of this website. It not only stated all the causes she defended
and provided for but it went into depth about each one. It showed exactly what she did
for each cause.

Morris, Lulu. “More Than A Princess.” National Geographic, 28 June

2017, https://www.nationalgeographic.com.au/people/more-than-a-
princess.aspx
This source just stated that she was more than a princess by the amount of charity work
she did. I likes this website because it uses some of her own words and statements. I
can use these quotes on my website to give a better background on her.

This is another primary source. It’s a newspaper article featuring Diana. It explains how
she is a working woman and not just a pretty princess.

Pettinger, Tejvan. “Princess Diana Biography.” Biography Online, 6

January 2006. https://www.biographyonline.net/
peoplebiography_princess_diana.html
I really liked this source because it was a biography. I know we aren’t writing a
biography about our topic but this was a good source for me because it helped me
understand more about her life. Before this project I didn’t know anything about her life
so this was good for me to get a better background.

Pettinger, Tejvan. “Princess Diana Charity Work.” Biography Online, 8

January 2013. https://www.biographyonline.net/people/diana/
charity_work.html
This source was a subsection of the last source. This was directly pointed at her charity
work instead of her biography. This website gave me a list of good quotes and gave me
a list of related sources to look at.

“Primary Sources.” Women In European History, 3 May 2012, https://

cchistory322exhibitspring2012.wordpress.com/princess-diana-of-
wales/sources/primary-sources/
This source is a primary source. It’s a website that gave me a list of magazines which
she was featured in. It showed me many references like magazines, newspapers, and
videos for primary sources.

“Princess Diana Charity Work.” Historic Newspapers, https://www.historic-

newspapers.co.uk/blog/princess-diana-charity-work/
This was a great source for her life. I was able to search different dates to see what
Diana was doing around that time. It also gave me any articles she was featured in at
the time.

ProQuest, https://search.proquest.com/docview/190371061?
accountid=45111.
This is a primary source. I found it on the Proquest database. It is a written out interview
between two people. The talking was directly pointed to her AIDS and HIV charity work.

https://search.proquest.com/docview/872613677?accountid=45111
This source was one of the best. It was very detailed and went into depth. It explained
her charity work and gave insights about what people thought about her. It showed me
stories from the receivers point of view talking about how Diana affected his/her life.
