Identificar y reconocer los componentes del Minicargador 216.
Reconocer los puntos de presión y evaluar las presiones del Minicargador 216.
Análisis y diagnóstico en el taller de máquinas.
Investigar conceptos relacionados al Minicargador 216.
PRIMERO:
Todo grupo deberá realizar el ATS (ANALISIS DE SEGURIDAD DE TRABAJO) de manera
obligatoria antes de realizar cualquier inspección o evaluación en el equipo correspondiente.
SEGUNDO:
Solicitar CHECK LIST y la llave de arranque del equipo correspondiente.
Observación: no arrancar sin la autorización del instructor, la llave solo se solicita para
colocar en la posición de contacto y realizar una inspección al tablero, luces, etc.

Reconocer con el plano hidráulico los componentes del Minicargador 216.
General Information
THE 216 AND 226 SKID STEER LOADERS CONSIST OF A HYDROSTATIC DRIVE SYSTEM, A WORK TOOL
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND A PILOT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE HYDROSTATIC DRIVE SYSTEM AND THE
WORK TOOL HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ARE CONTROLLED BY THE PILOT SYSTEM.
THE THREE SYSTEMS USE ONE COMMON TANK (13). THE PISTON PUMP (HYDROSTATIC) (11) AND THE
GEAR PUMP (12) ARE SPLINED TO THE ENGINE. THE PISTON PUMP PROVIDES FLOW FOR THE
HYDROSTATIC DRIVE SYSTEM. THE GEAR PUMP PROVIDES FLOW FOR THE WORK TOOL SYSTEM. THE
GEAR PUMP ALSO PROVIDES CHARGE OIL FOR THE HYDROSTATIC SYSTEM, AND OIL FOR THE PILOT
SYSTEM. THE OIL THAT FLOWS TOWARD THE PISTON PUMP FROM THE GEAR PUMP IS FILTERED
THROUGH THE OIL FILTER (8). THE GEAR MOTOR (FAN DRIVE) (9) RECEIVES OIL FLOW JUST BEFORE
THE OIL FILTER. THE OIL FLOW THAT GOES TO THE WORK TOOL SYSTEM IS NOT FILTERED BY THE
OIL FILTER.
THE PILOT OPERATED HYDRAULIC CONTROLS (1) AND (2) ARE SUPPLIED WITH OIL BY THE GEAR
PUMP. THE PILOT OPERATED HYDRAULIC CONTROLS ARE USED TO ROUTE SIGNAL OIL TO THE
PISTON PUMP AND PILOT OIL TO THE BANK VALVE (3). THE SIGNAL OIL MOVES THE SWASHPLATES IN
THE PISTON PUMP IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE PISTON MOTORS (HYDROSTATIC). THE PILOT OIL
SHIFTS THE SPOOLS IN THE BANK VALVE IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE WORK TOOL. OIL RETURNS TO
THE RETURN MANIFOLD (7) FROM THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS: THE PILOT OPERATED HYDRAULIC
CONTROLS, THE PISTON PUMP, INTERLOCK MANIFOLD VALVE (4) AND THE PISTON MOTORS (5) AND
(6). THE OIL CAN FLOW TO THE OIL COOLER (9) AND TO THE TANK (13) FROM THE RETURN MANIFOLD.
OIL THAT IS RETURNING FROM THE BANK VALVE FLOWS DIRECTLY TO THE TANK.

THE SIGHT GAUGE (15) IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE MACHINE BELOW THE FILLER CAP
(14). MAINTAIN THE OIL LEVEL APPROXIMATELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SIGHT GAUGE. REFER TO
THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL, SEBU7468, "HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL LEVEL
CHECK"FOR MORE INFORMATION.

(16) OIL TEMPERATURE SENDER
AN OIL TEMPERATURE SENDER (16) IS LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE HYDRAULIC TANK (13).
WHEN THE HYDRAULIC OIL TEMPERATURE EXCEEDS 102° ± 3°C (216° ± 5°F), THE SENDER WILL
ACTIVATE THE INDICATOR LIGHT THAT IS LOCATED ON THE LEFT CONTROL PANEL. WHEN THE
HYDRAULIC OIL TEMPERATURE COOLS TO A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 90 °C (194 °F), THE SENDER
WILL DEACTIVATE THE INDICATOR LIGHT.

HYDRAULIC OIL FROM HYDRAULIC TANK (13) FLOWS INTO GEAR PUMP (12). THE GEAR PUMP IS
DRIVEN BY A COMMON DRIVE SHAFT THAT RUNS THROUGH THE PISTON PUMP (HYDROSTATIC) (11).
THE GEAR PUMP SUPPLIES OIL TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND TO THE HYDROSTATIC SYSTEM.

(9) GEAR MOTOR (FAN DRIVE)
(17) CHECK VALVE
THE GEAR MOTOR (FAN DRIVE) (9) PROVIDES COOLING AIR FOR THE RADIATOR AND HYDRAULIC OIL
COOLER. HYDRAULIC OIL THEN FLOWS OUT OF THE GEAR MOTOR AND INTO THE OIL FILTER (8).
HYDRAULIC OIL FOR THE GEAR MOTOR IS SUPPLIED BY THE GEAR PUMP. HYDRAULIC OIL FROM THE
TANK FLOWS TO THE FRONT SECTION OF THE GEAR PUMP. THE OIL FLOWS FROM THE GEAR PUMP TO
THE GEAR MOTOR.
THE FLOW OF OIL THROUGH THE GEAR MOTOR TURNS THE FAN THAT COOLS THE HYDRAULIC OIL
THAT PASSES THROUGH THE OIL COOLER. THE FAN MOTOR WILL ROTATE IN DIRECT RELATION TO
THE AMOUNT OF HYDRAULIC OIL FLOW UNTIL THE HYDRAULIC OIL PRESSURE REACHES THE
SETTING FOR THE RELIEF VALVE. THE RELIEF VALVE ALLOWS THE EXCESS OIL TO BYPASS THE GEAR
MOTOR. THE RELIEF VALVE IS SET TO 4300 KPA (625 PSI). THE FAN COOLS THE COOLANT THAT FLOWS
THROUGH THE RADIATOR AND THE FAN COOLS THE OIL THAT FLOWS THROUGH THE OIL COOLER.
THE CHECK VALVE (17) ALLOWS THE GEAR MOTOR TO SPIN FREELY AFTER THE ENGINE IS TURNED
OFF.

HYDRAULIC OIL FLOWS OUT OF THE GEAR MOTOR (FAN DRIVE) AND INTO THE HYDRAULIC OIL
FILTER (8). THE OIL FILTER IS A FIVE MICRON FILTER. FROM THE OIL FILTER, THE HYDRAULIC OIL
FLOWS TO THE PISTON PUMP (HYDROSTATIC).
THE HYDRAULIC OIL FILTER SERVES THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING ANY PARTICLES THAT COULD
DAMAGE THE PISTON PUMP. THE HYDRAULIC OIL THEN FLOWS INTO THE FRONT SECTION OF THE
PISTON PUMP.
THE PORT (18) IS USED TO TEST FOR CONTAMINANTS IN THE HYDRAULIC OIL. FOR MORE
INFORMATION ON THE OIL SIMPLE PORT, REFER TO HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TESTING AND ADJUSTING,
RENR2860, "HYDRAULIC OIL CONTAMINATION TEST". THE PORT IS ALSO USED TO PUMP OIL INTO THE
PISTON PUMP. FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE FILL PORT, REFER TO HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TESTING
AND ADJUSTING, RENR2860, "FILLING AND FLUSHING THE HYDROSTATIC SYSTEM TEST".

THE OIL FILTER BYPASS VALVE (20) OPENS WHEN A DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE OF 200 KPA (30 PSI) IS
REACHED. AN INDICATOR WILL LIGHT ON THE RIGHT CONTROL PANEL WHEN THE DIFFERENTIAL
PRESSURE REACHES 172 KPA (25 PSI). FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ALERT INDICATORS,
REFER TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL, SEBU7468,"ALERT INDICATORS".

OIL FLOWS TO THE RETURN MANIFOLD (7) FROM THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS: THE PILOT
OPERATED HYDRAULIC CONTROLS (1) AND (2), THE PISTON PUMP (11) AND THE PISTON MOTORS (5)
AND (6).THE RETURN MANIFOLD PROVIDES HYDRAULIC OIL TO THE OIL COOLER IN ORDER TO KEEP
THE OIL FROM GETTING TOO HOT.THE FAN BLOWS AIR ACROSS THE OIL COOLER. THE AIR COOLS
THE HYDRAULIC OIL. THE HYDRAULIC OIL THEN RETURNS TO THE RETURN MANIFOLD. A BYPASS
CHECK VALVE (26) IS LOCATED IN THE RETURN MANIFOLD. THE BYPASS CHECK VALVE PREVENTS
HIGH PRESSURE OIL FROM ENTERING THE OIL COOLER WHEN THE MACHINE IS STARTED. THE
BYPASS CHECK VALVE OPENS WHEN THE PRESSURE IN THE COOLER EXCEEDS 172 KPA (25 PSI). FROM
THE RETURN MANIFOLD, HYDRAULIC OIL DRAINS BACK TO THE HYDRAULIC TANK.
THE VALVE (27) ON THE RETURN MANIFOLD (7) IS USED TO DRAIN THE TANK. A HOSE CONNECTS TO
THE VALVE.
CUARTO:
1. Realizar un diagrama hidráulico del sistema de Minicargador 216 (usar la pizarra acrílica).
2. Explicar el funcionamiento de los componentes y las válvulas del Minicargador 216.
3. Analizar y generar algunas fallas en el Minicargador 216.
4. Medir las siguientes presiones, (en la maquina)
MACHINE PREPARATION
1. MOVE THE MACHINE TO A SMOOTH HORIZONTAL LOCATION. MOVE THE MACHINE AWAY FROM
OTHER MACHINES AND PERSONNEL. LOWER THE BUCKET TO THE GROUND. STOP THE ENGINE.
2. PERMIT ONLY ONE OPERATOR ON THE MACHINE.
3. BLOCK THE FRONT TIRES AND THE REAR TIRES OF THE MACHINE.
4. PLACE A BARRIER AROUND THE MACHINE IN ORDER TO KEEP PERSONNEL AWAY FROM ROTATING
MACHINERY.
5. RELEASE THE SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY ADJUSTMENT. REFER TO TESTING
AND ADJUSTING,
"HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE"FOR THE PROPER PROCEDURE.
WHEN ANY TEST IS PERFORMED ON THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, THE HYDRAULIC OIL MUST BE AT THE
NORMAL TEMPERATURE FOR OPERATION. IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE OIL TEMPERATURE, START
THE ENGINE. OPERATE ALL HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS FOR FIVE CYCLES. MOVE THE MACHINE IN THE
FORWARD AND REVERSE DIRECTIONS. MOVE THE WORK TOOL THROUGH THE FULL RANGE OF
MOTION.
VISUAL CHECKS AND MEASUREMENTS ARE THE FIRST STEPS DURING TROUBLESHOOTING. REFER TO
TESTING AND ADJUSTING,"VISUAL INSPECTION". NEXT, PERFORM THE OPERATIONAL CHECKS. REFER
TO TESTING AND ADJUSTING, "OPERATIONAL CHECKS". FINALLY, PERFORM THE REQUIRED TESTS
AND ADJUSTMENTS ON THE MACHINE.

4. INSTALL THE 8T0856 PRESSURE GAUGES TO THE CHARGE PRESSURE TAP (1) AND TO THE SPEED
SENSING PRESSURE TAP (2) BY USING THE 1U5755 HOSES.

5. INSTALL A 6V3965 NIPPLE (5) TO THE END OF SUPPLY LINE (3) BY USING THE 7X2444 TEE (4). USE A
6V5049 ORING SEAL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE TEE. USE A 3J1907 ORING SEAL WHEN YOU CONNECT
THE NIPPLE TO THE TEE. THE SUPPLY LINE IS FOR THE PILOT OPERATED HYDRAULIC CONTROL
(WORK TOOL).
6. INSTALL THE FREE END OF THE REMAINING HOSE TO THE 6V3965 NIPPLE THAT WAS INSTALLED
INTO THE TEE. THIS
PRESSURE TAP (5) IS USED TO MEASURE PILOT PRESSURE TO THE PILOT OPERATED HYDRAULIC
CONTROL (WORK TOOL).
7. SECURE THE THREE HYDRAULIC LINES SO THAT THE PRESSURE GAUGES CAN BE VIEWED BY THE
OPERATOR DURING THE TEST. THE HOSES SHOULD NOT BE PINCHED WHEN THE CAB IS LOWERED.
8. LOWER THE CAB.
9. SIT IN THE OPERATOR'S SEAT. FASTEN THE SEAT BELT AND LOWER THE ARMREST.
10. START THE ENGINE. DISENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE.
11. RUN THE ENGINE AT LOW IDLE. RECORD THE CHARGE PRESSURE AND SPEED SENSING PRESSURE.
12. RUN THE ENGINE AT HIGH IDLE. RECORD THE CHARGE PRESSURE, SPEED SENSING PRESSURE, AND
PILOT PRESSURE.
NOTE: IF THE PILOT PRESSURE IS NOT WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS, REFER TO TESTING AND ADJUSTING,
"HYDROSTATIC SYSTEM TEST AND ADJUST".
13. REDUCE THE ENGINE TO LOW IDLE. STOP THE ENGINE.
14. RAISE THE CAB. REMOVE THE TEST EQUIPMENT.
15. LOWER THE CAB. REFER TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL, "CAB SUPPORT
OPERATION". REMOVE THE BLOCKS.

GAUGE TO TEST PORT (1) BY USING THE 1U5755 HOSE.
4. LOWER THE CAB. POSITION THE HOSE IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE HOSE FROM BEING PINCHED
WHEN YOU LOWER THE CAB.
5. SECURE THE HYDRAULIC LINE SO THAT THE PRESSURE GAUGE CAN BE VIEWED BY THE OPERATOR
DURING THE TEST.
6. SIT IN THE OPERATOR'S SEAT. FASTEN THE SEAT BELT. LOWER THE ARMREST. START THE ENGINE.
DISENGAGE THE
PARKING BRAKE.
7. RUN THE ENGINE AT LOW IDLE.

8. POSITION THE WORK TOOL IN THE FULL TILT BACK POSITION. MOVE THE PILOT OPERATED
HYDRAULIC CONTROL TO THE FULL LOWER POSITION. HOLD THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL AT THAT
POSITION UNTIL A STALL CONDITION EXISTS. RECORD THE PRESSURE AT THE STALL CONDITION.
REFER TO THE TABLE BELOW.
9. RELEASE THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL FROM THE STALL CONDITION. REDUCE THE ENGINE SPEED TO
LOW IDLE. TILT THE
WORK TOOL UNTIL THE WORK TOOL IS PARALLEL WITH THE GROUND. STOP THE ENGINE.
10. IF THE PRESSURE READING IS WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS, PROCEED TO STEP 17. IF THE PRESSURE
READING IS NOT TO
SPECIFICATIONS, THE MAIN RELIEF VALVE NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED. PROCEED TO STEP 11.
11. RELEASE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURE. REFER TO TESTING AND ADJUSTING, "HYDRAULIC
SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE" FOR THE PROPER PROCEDURE.
12. RAISE THE CAB OF THE MACHINE.

13. REMOVE END CAP (3) FROM MAIN RELIEF VALVE (2).
14. LOOSEN LOCKNUT (4). THE ADJUSTMENT SCREW IS UNDER THE END CAP (3). TURN THE
ADJUSTMENT SCREW CLOCKWISE IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE RELIEF VALVE SETTING. TURN THE
ADJUSTMENT SCREW COUNTERCLOCKWISE IN ORDER TO DECREASE THE RELIEF VALVE SETTING.
15. TIGHTEN LOCKNUT (4) AND INSTALL CAP (3).
16. LOWER THE CAB AND REPEAT STEPS 6 THROUGH 10.
17. RAISE THE CAB AND REMOVE THE TEST EQUIPMENT.
18. LOWER THE CAB AND BOLT DOWN THE CAB. REFER TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
MANUAL, "CAB SUPPORT OPERATION".

SEXTO:
Realizar un VIDEO.
Realizaran un video de 5-10 minutos como máximo, donde explicarán la evaluación que el
instructor designe a cada grupo.
3. Análisis o diagnostico hidráulico. (NO es obligatorio sus EPP y puede participar del
grupo un solo alumno como mínimo.
SÉPTIMO:
En el plano hidráulico del Minicargador 216, pintar en PAINT lo siguiente:
Posición GIRO DERECHA sobre su propio eje.
Posición CONTROL DE NIVELACION AUTOMATICA activada.
