1 About This Document
1.1 Background Information

All base stations (BSs) in Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) live
networks will be upgraded to DBS3900 WiMAX V300R003C01. Before the upgrades,
frontline engineers must collect BS, access service network gateway (ASN-GW), and M2000
basic information for mirror tests and upgrade evaluation at Huawei headquarters. This
document describes how to collect BS, GW, and M2000 basic information.
1.2 Intended Audience

This document is intended for:
 Network shifts
 Maintenance engineers

2.1 DBS3900 WiMAX V300R002C03 or DBS3900 WiMAX

2.1.1 Downloading Network Configurations on the M2000
1. On the M2000 client, choose Maintenance > Backup Management.
2. On the NE Backup List tab page, select a network element (NE) name and click
Backup.

3. After data backup, select multiple NE names and click Download To Client to
download configurations.
2.1.2 Collecting Script Information

Use an NE information collector (NIC) to collect script information.
The following table lists scripts for BSs in different versions.

2.2.1 Downloading BS Configurations on the M2000
For details, see section 2.1.1"Downloading Network Configurations on the M2000".
2.2.2 Obtaining BS Version Information

Run the following commands to obtain BS version information:
LST SOFTWARE:;

3.1 ASN-GW V300R003

3.1.1 Obtaining Software Version Information
Run the following command:
<WASN9770>display startup
3.1.2 Collecting Network Configuration, Performance Statistics,

and Alarm Information
Use the information collection tool to collect network configuration, performance statistics,
and alarm information.
The information collection tool is integrated on the ASN-GW local maintenance terminal (LMT).
Therefore, engineers must log in to the LMT before using the tool.
4. In the navigation tree of the Maintenance tab page, click Service > Common
Monitoring > Information Collection.
Then, the Information Collection dialog box is displayed, as shown in the following figure.

5. In the Information Collection dialog box, perform the following operations:

Step 1 Enter the following information in the text boxes:
 IP address of the GW connected to the LMT
 User name for logging in to the LMT
 Password for logging in to the LMT
Step 2 Select a path for saving the collected information.
Step 3 Enter the SPU slot number. If more than one SPU is configured, separate each slot
number with a comma (,).
Step 4 Select the items marked in red boxes as shown in the following figures:

The following figure is displayed.
1. Obtain the formation in the specified path and feed it back as required.

3.2.1 Obtaining Software Version Information
Run the following command:
<WASN9770>list version

3.2.2 Collecting Network Configuration, Performance Statistics,

and Alarm Information
Use the information collection tool to collect network configuration, performance statistics,
and alarm information.
The information collection tool is integrated on the ASN-GW LMT. Therefore, engineers must log in to
the LMT before using the tool.
2. In the navigation tree of the Maintenance tab page, click Service > Common
Monitoring > Information Collection.
Then, the Information Collection dialog box is displayed, as shown in the following figure.
3. In the Information Collection dialog box, perform the following operations:

Step 1 Enter the following information in the text boxes:
 IP address of the GW connected to the LMT
 User name for logging in to the LMT
 Password for logging in to the LMT
Step 2 Select a path for saving the collected information.
Step 3 Select the items marked in red boxes as shown in the following figures:
