Dear HR Manager,

I am Kade Young, a journalism major, and I believe my strong points can benefit your organization. I am a hard-
worker, have the ability to take action, and ultimately accomplish the vision of your company. I am a natural leader
and love motivating people to do their very best in the workplace. Not only do I have this ability, but it brings me
great joy to inspire others and give them the tools to maximize their potential.

My experience in community radio, college radio, an internship in corporate radio, and extensive background in
online blogging allows me to serve your company in the most focused, diligent and innovative of ways. In addition,
my leadership skills have always been with me and continue to guide me in the workplace. In high school, I was the
editor-in-chief of the newspaper and student body president. In college, I was the editor-in-chief for an online
journalism startup with an emphasis on food podcasting and food blogging. Also in college, I wrote stories about
people who are underrepresented in the media, and I hope to continue to do this at your media organization. I wrote
enterprise pieces about local bands, album reviews, and profiles on music industry executives. As a journalist, I
want to be the voice of the voiceless and hope to use my writing abilities to share stories that may unite the
populace and capture the reality of the human condition.

I would be interested in meeting to discuss the value that my strengths and experience can bring to your company.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Regards,
Kade Young
