About
SURFACE MOUNT TECHNOLOGY OPERATOR CERTIFICATION is set up to be comprehensive enabling the pre-qualification, scalable
learning using range of modern learning methods including tests, expanded to practice modules and in-production mentoring
trial work.
Targeted, but not limited to trainees having some prior familiarity with the specific equipment and basic knowledge and skills from
the domain of electronic assemblies.

Recruitment and pre-selection are based on the comprehensive


psychodiagnostics tools containing tests for personality evaluation and
psychomotoric ability (Schuhfried Vienna Test System).

Enrolled candidates access modular learning blocks organized as OnLine,


Blended (Combined eLearning and exCatedra) and HandsOn set of Courses and
Trainings.

Due to continuous evaluation, only the students who adopted predicted


quantity of knowledge and skills can be qualified for further modules.

In-production work supervised by Mentor, including continuous evaluation

Upon completion of all modules, trainee’s folder will contain detailed


information of evaluation process presented in form useful for HR and
adjusted to import to Company’s ERP system.

Course Aims
Review and understand the requirements of relevant Wave and Selective Soldering;
Industrial Standards (J-STD-001 / IPC-A-610) for electronic Learn the way to operate machines in chain, which
manufacturing; includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel
Recognize and identify materials (SMD electronic and indicators, and understand how to replenish supplies and
components, PCBs, applied materials and other physical resources) components per standard operating procedures;
and tools and develop skills for their proper handling and use; Ability to read and interpret technical/production
Get fundamental knowledge of full Surface Mount documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and
Technology, Manufacturing Process and related Quality procedure manuals;
Management and factors which influence the quality, reliability and Initiate opportunity for possible career advancement and
performance of an electronic assembly;; benefits at performance reviews
Completely understand major SMT processes such as Perform full evaluation of trainee’s skills using
Stencil Printing, Component Placement (Pick & Place), Reflow, Dip, established measurement methods
