Objectives : By the end of the lesson students will be able to :
1. Answer questions in full sentences
2. Recognise different types of vehicles
3. Identify Present and Past tenses used in reported speech

Activity 1: WARM-UP
Aim: to warm students up
Timing: 8 minutes
Interaction: T-Ss, Ss -T
Procedure: Teacher divides the class into 5 groups . Each group gets
a picture . In fact , it’s just a part of it . They have to continue it in
order to draw a mean of transport . After finishing it, they have to
come in front of the class and present it .
Activity 2 : LEAD-IN
Aim: to get students into today’s topic
Timing: 7 minutes
Interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T
Procedure: The teacher asks questions on transport and the best answers
are written down .
Example :
Do you like travelling? Why?
How can we travel?
Did the invention of the car change our world? How?
Which is your favourite means of transport?

Activity 4
Timing: 10 minutes
Interaction: T-Ss, Ss- T
Procedure: The teacher asks the students to remember and to sing the
song about Molly’s Wheelbarrow .
Teacher divides students into 4 groups using numbering . Each group has to
look up in the whole unit for sentences with verbs in Present and Past Tenses
in reported speech . The group that has the longest list of correct sentences
gets happy faces . Teacher checks their answers.
Activity 5
Timing: 10 minutes
Interaction: T-Ss, Ss- T
Procedure: The students are asked to discuss about older forms of
transport . They read silently the texts from the textbook and write the forms
of transport for every paragraph on given worksheets .

Aim : to evaluate students’ work ; to assign students’ homework
Timing : 2 minutes
