Many people have a huge debate on abortion rights. Abortion is a choice for any

woman of what she decides to do with her body and should be handled with care, and no

one should have the right to decide what’s best for them besides themselves. Others believe

having an abortion is wrong due to some consequences and protests. Abortion should be

legal because a woman has control over her own body, or she might not be ready to be a

mother. Overall, many women are protesting on what they believe on what's right or whats

wrong but many states handle abortions differently. Woman have a right to do what they

want with their bodies and what is best for them.

One reason why abortion should not be judged is because itś a woman's personal

choice. Angelo Richera the writer of a fact check article says, “Killing a baby once born was

and is still considered a homicide. Proponents of the bill argued that abortion should be

treated as a health care matter, not as a criminal one.” This illustrates that woman who

decide to have an abortion should always be handled with care because they want the

woman to be healthy and for the sake of health, also that abortions should not be

considered as a homicide it should be a choice. Writer from International Campaign For

Women's to Safe Abortions states that, “thus contributing to two common, but mistaken,

beliefs – first, that abortions take place that late in pregnancy and second, that a fetus has

an independent existence from the woman who is carrying it.” This exhibits that abortion is

a woman's choice because she doesn't want a child for religious purposes. These two pieces

of evidences memos that abortion is a woman's choice.

In addition, another reason why abortion should be legal is because woman might not
be ready to be a mother. Writers from fact check article says, “Previously, abortions after

24 weeks were justified only in cases where the mother’s life was at risk — which was

inconsistent with a part of the Roe decision, as we explain later.” This shows that a specific

time a woman is pregnant her life can possibly be in danger if she tries to get an abortion.

Writer from The New York Times says that, “If our daughter somehow made it to full term,

her expected life span would be far shorter than a typical child’s, and she’d most likely have

a whole host of medical issues requiring a lifetime of medical care. Then consider the

cognitive impairments, special education programs and social ostracism. It was a lot to take

in.” This shows that some woman might not be ready to be a mother because they're afraid

of what might happen to the baby once its born or if any problems might happen. These

show why woman might not be ready to be a mother due to these outcomes.

On the other hand, some people might say that abortions should be illegal because they

are considered child abuse or murder. Writers from abort73 state that, “In the late 70s, Dr.

Philip Ney listed eight possible psychological mechanisms whereby an increase in the rate

of abortion could lead to an increase in child abuse. In his article “Relationship Between

Abortion and Child Abuse,” This demonstrates that actual doctors have examined and

found out that abortion has gained child abuse due to a woman's actions she took herself.

However, this does not address the situation of a woman aborting a child because of the

action she decided to take since it is her own body and choice. AFterall, a woman who

decides to abort her own child could reserve consequences or could have health issues

depending if she is healthy or not.

Overall, abortion is a woman's choice and when they have an abortion they should

always be handled with care during the process. Abortions should be performed on a
woman who decides not to keep the baby, especially if she has been raped or abused.

Although some people might disagree, but others have their own beliefs and there are

many alternatives about abortions. Law have been passed through states and throughout

the nation regarding abortions and women's right to it. Everyone has a right to their own

decision and since its the own woman's body it's her choice on what she wants to do not

“murdering” a fetus.
