We are grateful to those who give of their time and care
to bring Holy Communion to our parishioners who
cannot make it to church due to sickness or infirmity. If
you know of anyone who would like to receive
communion in their home or while hospitalized at West
Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish office

Survival for the
disciples of Jesus
meant not being
recognized or
captured. After
seeing the horrible
scourging and
death of Jesus, the
disciples feared the same fate could await them. Hiding
out and keeping the doors locked gave them some
measure of security.
When Jesus miraculously appeared in their midst,
the disciples must have been terrified. To calm and
comfort them, Jesus said, “Peace be with you.” Then,
Jesus charged them with the great responsibility of
spreading the faith. He breathed the Holy Spirit into
them, fulfilling his Ascension promise and clothing
them with power from on high. We are similarly
clothed and recharged with that power on this

A reminder to prayerfully consider completing or
renewing your pledge and returning the card to the
office. A note of thanks to those who have returned
their pledge cards - this will be helpful in planning and
managing our finances. Pledge cards are also in pews.
ANNOUNCING SUMMER WEEKENDS MASS
SCHEDULE TIME CHANGE
During the summer months, with people on vacations
and many off to cottages, all 3 weekend Masses are not
as well attended as they usually are, even with visitors
attending. For JULY AND AUGUST ONLY
(including Aug 31/Sept 1 weekend), we will have the
usual Saturday evening Mass however only ONE
Sunday morning Mass at 10:00 a.m. Mass intentions
that have already been booked on those weekends
will be revised.
ARE YOU REGISTERED IN OUR PARISH?
If you are new to the parish or have been attending
Mass here, ensure that you are registered by completing
the tear off section at the front of this bulletin. Please
do not take for granted that you are registered in the
parish, just because you attend Mass here. In the
future, should you be in need of a pastorall letter
(godparent, school, sponsor for confirmation, teacher
referral, etc.), it would be difficult to issue one if you
are not formally registered with the parish.

wish to give them to whomever

EUTHANASIA AND ASSISTED SUICIDE
All parishioners are welcome to St. Joseph’s parish on
Thursday, June 13th at 7 p.m. For the viewing of a
film (Fatal Flaws) regarding Euthanasia and Assisted
Suicide Law, followed by a powerful talk -presented by
producer Kevin Dunn. A good will offering would be
welcomed after the presentation.
