Cabinet Specification

• The sink and taps must be disconnected by the contractor.

• Contractors are responsible for putting countertops (where they are not being
replaced), taps and sink back, and must hook up the plumbing before job will be
marked complete.

• Cabinets to be measured, delivered, and installed by the contractor.

• Cabinets must be level

• Ensure they are properly secured to the wall with no visible gaps between boxes

• All Doors must open and close freely, and be level

• Cabinets must line up flush with countertops and backsplash

• Hardware should be properly secured

• Bottom of upper cabinets should begin at 53.5” height from floor, and Top of upper
cabinets will be ceiling height. Any gaps from the top of the cabinet to the ceiling must
be filled with trim to be provided by Boardwalk.
• Please place a hallway runner (cardboard/any kind of protection) down to protect the
hallway flooring from tracking any debris in the suite in to the hallways
• When replacing countertops but not cabinets, please install a 4” integral laminate
backsplash in both the kitchen.
• When doing laminate, bathrooms will always have a 4” integral backsplash.

o No deep upper over fridge, 12” upper only
o No uppers to the ceiling, match new cabinetry as best to existing design (like for
like)
o 4” integral countertop backsplash is to be used in kitchen and bathroom, no tile
backsplash
o No side splashes
