This course encompasses topics on Afro-Asian

Grading System
The final grade for the subject shall be the average of all the quarter grades, rounded off to two decimal places,
for the entire academic year in the subject, as given by the following formula:

Final Grade = (1st quarter grade + 2nd quarter grade + 3rd quarter grade + 4th quarter)/4

The quarter grade for the subject shall be computed through the following components:

30% Written work (includes quizzes, long tests, seat works)


50% Performance tasks (includes hands-on activities, Quarterly Project)
20% Quarterly assessment (periodic test at the end of the quarter)

Examinations and Formative Assessments

 Formative assessments are given before, during, and /or after each session.
 They are given to track students’ learning progress. Results will not be graded.

Reading Response Journal


 DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time policy will be implemented during a 2 hour – period class.
 Students will be required to bring and read any form of reading materials (e.g. news clipping, novel, general
references, etc) during the specified schedule.
 Students will be given general guide questions by the subject teacher for their reflective journals.
 Compilation of reflective journals will be done in groups and must be submitted via online.
 Submission of the group journal compilations is scheduled by the end of the school year.
 Failure to submit this requirement will not be cleared on the subject.
