The success and the final outcome of this research required a lot of guidance and
assistance from many people and I am extremely fortunate to have got this all along the
completion of my research work. Whatever I have done is only due to such guidance and
assistance and I would not forget to thanks them. First and foremost, praises and thanks to the
GOD, the almighty for his showers of blessing through my research work to complete the
research successfully.

At the outset I would like to express my deep sense of gratitude and indebtedness to
my guide Dr. Smt. M. D. Sonawane, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Botany,
K.T.H.M. College, Nashik for her valuable guidance, constant encouragement and constructive
criticism throughout the course of this investigation. I would be failing my duties, if I don’t
express my sense of gratitude to Dr. V.B. Gaikwad, Principal K.T.H.M. College, Nashik for
providing all resources and encouragement.

This acknowledgement would not be complete without thanking my family for their

remain intended to my father Mr. Namdeo Narayan Wagh, My mother Mrs. Latabai N. Wagh,
my uncle Mothabhau, Aaba, my brother Mahendra, Amol and my sisters Jayshree, Prafullata,
Shital. They are in incessant of inspiration and support to me in circumstances of stress and
worries. Today, I feel that my parent’s hard work and dreams have been blossomed. I also wish
to extend my thanks to my Grandmother Vachhalabai (May) for her love and affection.
My heartfelt special thanks to my cousins Umesh and Anil who are in armed forces
serving our motherland and to Laxman Sayaji Pawar and Ashok Shinde of the study area to
provide me all the useful information on plant uses.
