xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
In this laboratory experiment, in order to demonstrate the
acceleration of an object on an inclined plane, the PASCO
1.1 Background dynamics set is needed. The PASCO dynamics set includes
a dynamics track with end stops, a pivot clamp, an angle
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx indicator, and a dynamic cart. A stopwatch is also required
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to measure the time the cart has covered such distance.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2.1 Data Used
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The researchers used the following data below to obtain
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the quantities and values needed (such as the acceleration,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx slope and, y-intercept) to formulate the relationship
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. between the acceleration and the angle of inclination.

The acceleration of an object can be determined by

1.2 Objectives measuring the time it takes the cart to reach the bottom of
the cart.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx It can be computed using the equation:

𝒕𝟐 inclination is then computed. Having the time of the cart to
cover the 100-cm distance, we shall be able to compute the
where acceleration of the cart in each inclination.

dynamic cart will be used covering a distance of 100-cm. To Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
start off, the angle of inclination of the track is elevated to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
3°. The time how long the cart is released from rest is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
recorded. This measurement is done for five times. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
