Pioneer Intelligence Expands Cannabis Analytics Landscape with Focus on

Brand Marketing Performance

Data-informed venture unveils index tracking hottest consumer-facing cannabis brands.

Cambridge, MA, June 12, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Launching operations today, Pioneer Intelligence helps
cannabis industry stakeholders better understand how communications strategies and tactics are

comparative scoring system which currently includes more than 500 brands operating in 15 states, all
selling product with THC levels over 0.3%. Amongst the notable callouts in its methodology are a
recency bias that values change in market response alongside absolute position and a weighting construct
that enables craft-house producers to sit next to larger, multi-state operators.

Regarding today's launch, Founder Ben Walters said, “Marketers working in cannabis face a unique set of
challenges: disparate consumer demographics, ever-evolving regulations around advertising, geographic

The Pioneer Intelligence website references two projects as part of near-term expansion plans: (1) a
scorecard report designed to showcase the marketing performance of individual brands and (2) a content
publishing arm that highlights noteworthy marketing efforts, both tactical and creative, produced by
individual cannabis brands as well as more general, industry trends. When asked about the company's
next steps Walters shared, “Right now, we're focused on tightening operations and exploring potential
partnerships, but we look forward to sharing our scorecard reports in the very near future.”
