LESSON DELIVERY (attach worksheets, examples, marking key, etc, as rele vant)
Resources/References
Time Motivation and Introduction (10 minutes)
1:55pm-  To settle students after lunch and set them up for a calm lesson in the
2:50pm afternoon, take students outside for our listening meditation. Remind
students that it is important to sometimes just sit and listen rather than do
everything so quickly and deliberately.

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):

(35 minutes)
 Remind students of our art lesson earlier this week and how we
discovered that how art is EVERYWHERE in nature. Incorporating nature
into art is a fun way to recognise how the patterns in nature e.g. leaves,
are just like the patterns we create with paint, pencils etc.
 Our project today is to use watercolour paint to finish off our clay
pendants ready to turn them into a final product.
Water colour paint
 Model how we will string the pendant and use watercolour paints so that
the imprint stays visible.
 After watching me model the activity, we will set up the classroom so that
one group is doing their watercolour in the wet area and the other half are
String
at the back table (with table cloth).
 First students will come up and receive a piece of string to fit their neck.
 Once their pendant is strung, they will go outside/to the back and paint
their pendants. Once they have finished this, they will set it back on their Reflection sheets
labelled area in the tray to dry.
 After finishing they will write a reflection on the process of creating this
pendant.

IF THERE IS TIME AT THE END OF THE LESSON

 Students put together their reading journal from our literacy lesson.
Model how to fold a concertina booklet, then have students fold them Reading journal
and keep them in their tray to be filled in at the end of each week. templates

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

Video
(10 minutes)
 Reinforce to students how art can be found everywhere in nature.
Hopefully this will inspire them for look for art in their everyday lives, not
just in art lessons using paint etc.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)

 Students will need to put their clay pendant on the drying rack and stack
and pack ready for the end of the day 

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be judged?)

 Assess students ability to follow instructions by observing behaviours and

viewing their final product.
