Rosario National High School had started as an extension school of Santiago

City National High School in June 2013 through a joint Resolution led by then
barangay captain Hon. Judy Balberan of Rosario and Barangay Captain Hon. Henry
Telan of Victory Sur which was eventually approved through Resolution No. 7THCC-

the eight classrooms lent by Rosario Elementary School through the generosity of

enrolment, some sections had their classes under the trees and tents on the
following years.
The tremendous growth of the school after three years of operation which
increased from 364 in SY2013-2014 to 628 in SY 2016-2017 and the huge
improvement of its buildings and facilities, the Officer In-Charge worked out for a
proposal on its separation from the Mother School duly supported by the principal,
Mrs. Tessie F. Baltar. Resolution No. 2016-001 requesting the Department of
Education for the separation of the school from the Main Campus
was unanimously approved on June 28, 2016 through the joint forces of barangay
Rosario led by Hon. Rodolfo A. Soriano, Barangay Captain and the teaching force of
SCNHS-Rosario Extension headed by Rubelyn A. Castro, OIC. On July 18, 2016,
Schools Division Superintendent Florante E. Vergara, CESO VI endorsed the herein
request for separation of SCNHS-Rosario Extension to the Hon. Joseph Salvador
Tan, City Mayor. The Sangguniang Panlungsod approved Resolution No. 9THCC-

HIGH SCHOOL INTO AN INDEPENDENT HIGH SCHOOL TO BE NAMED AS
ROSARIO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL under the third and final reading on
November 14, 2016.
Finally, on February 13, 2017, after a thorough review on the documents
presented and an on-site validation conducted by the DepEd Officials from both the
Schools Division of Santiago City and the Regional Office 02, Reginal Director III
Estela L. Cariño, Ed.D., CESO IV of the Regional Office No. 02, had approved the
separation of SCNHS-Rosario Extension from its mother school and be named as
