Classroom Rules and Procedures

All students will be expected to follow the Plumas Charter

School Code of Conduct. The students will also be expected to
follow the classroom rules and procedures.

Classroom Rules
1. Treat each other politely and kindly

2. Treat school and personal property respectfully

3. Come to class on time and be prepared

4. Make a good effort and ask for help if you need it

5. Be cooperative and follow teacher requests

6. Never prevent classmates from learning or the teacher from teaching

Classroom Procedures
Be in your seat when class starts.

There is a schedule posted on the door. Please be sure to know your schedule
and what time your class starts.

Cell Phone Policy

Please make sure all devices are turned off during class. Texting/phone calls will
only be allowed during lunch/break. No electronic devices will be allowed at ALL
during a quiz or test.

Bathroom Policy

Please be sure to use the bathroom at recess, lunch, or before/after school.

However, if it is an emergency you may leave to go to the bathroom when you
need to. There will only be one student allowed out of the classroom at a time.
However, if this becomes a problem (too much time spent, too frequent of trips,
messing around outside) then we will start having a bathroom pass and only two
passes will be given for the month to use.
Food and Drink Policy

No food or drink will be allowed during class time. A water bottle with a lid is
okay but must be kept at the back of the classroom or on the corner of your
desk. Absolutely no food or drinks near the computers.

Computer Policy

Please do not change any of the computer settings (background, screen saver,
etc.) Use your time effectively while at the computer. Listening to music will be
allowed as long as it does not become a problem. Volume should be low
enough so others around you do not hear it. No personal use of computers will
be allowed during class time.

Tests and Quizzes

Tests and quizzes will be announced in advance. If you are absent the day of a
test or quiz, please be prepared to take the test or quiz immediately upon your
return. If you do not pass a test, you will be given the opportunity to retake the
test (not the same test) for a maximum grade of 75%. A retest must be
completed within two weeks of the original test. It is your responsibility to ask for
the retest. After two weeks, your test grade becomes final and you will not be
allowed to change it.

Please see me if you need any extra help. I am here to help you learn and I want to
see you succeed. Don’t wait until it is too late! Please let me know if there is anything I
can do for you.

Please sign and return.

I have read and understood the Classroom Rules and Procedures. I will do my best to
follow these rules.
