B. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

2008 was the year when cakes-on-sticks were introduced. It was a month

after Angie Dubley posted pictures of pink cake pops, Martha Stewart was captured by

her amazing creation that made way to these little cakes to be known all over the world.

Cake pops are more than just miniature cakes-on-sticks. These tiny treats

sweeten not just the mood but also refine artistic fondness. Kids can even effortlessly

make these while having fun and enhancing creativity at the same time. More to that,

cake pops are easy to make as well as time-saving.

Its versatility is just amazing. These bite-sized cakes are suitable in any

occasion. It also caters any age, even adults are loving it. With its appropriate size and

pleasing appearance, cake pops are basically mini cakes coated with variants of dips on

sticks.

The success of cake pop is so apparent. It has dominated coffee shops all

over the world, even Starbucks. Other than that, books on how to make these cute cake

pops were also distributed all over the world and have been translated to different

languages.

With that all said and done, cake pops has evolved from simple cake

pops, to sprinkled-cake pops and muppets, or cake pops character-designed.


C. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

products and making trends that would attract more customers. Thereafter influencing people to

engage in the business.

According Dudley, Angie Metadata (2010) cakepops are cuter than a cupcake.

On her blog Bakerella (aka Angie Dudley) she has turned cake pops into an international

sensation! Cute little cakes on a stick from decorated balls to more ambitious shapes such as

baby chicks, ice cream cones, and even cupcakes these adorable creations are the perfect

alternative to cake at any party or get-together. Martha Stewart loved the cupcake pops so

much she had Bakerella appear on her show to demonstrate making them. Now Angie makes it

easy and fun to recreate these amazing treats right at home with clear step-by-step instructions

and photos of more than 40 featured projects, as well as clever tips for presentation, decorating,

dipping, coloring and melting chocolate, and much more.

Making people more interested in it due to it's amazing designs. More to that,

people are being intrigue on how do people innovate this kind of product. Cake are lost in the
trend and Lolippop are also lost in the trend so making another kind of product using these kind

of ideas can make another product that can be new to eyes of the consumers.

According to Becca Quay ( 2012), Cake Pops are more than just a very

flavorsome food in a stick. Also people find cake pops very adoptable due to their applicable

size and lollipop like design giving us the same feeling when we ate a lollipop and cake at the

same time. They are also used for all kinds of occasion as it is perfect match for any kind of

formality, even birthdays or weddings, as they can be designed for it to match the sensation of

the event. As stated it can provide no limits for people’s creativity as the person can do

whatever design he wants with it. For example, younger children can develop their imagination

while making cake pops as they can do whatever design they want with it and more importantly

it is relatively easy to make.

All of it makes that cake pops an all-around food capable of bringing a unique

kind of experience. Also, it can make people think how people develop this kind of idea. Giving

them the many ideas on how to create something new to match the trend.

pastries and other food articles. The decorative toothpick device can come in a ready to use

Juliet Wilson (2013) explained that a cakepop is a delicious, moist ball of cake,

on a stick, covered in chocolate. It is the perfect alternative to a traditional cake or cupcakes for

special occasion. Each of their cakepop is hand crafted and made to order that is perfect for

childrens’ parties, birthdays, weddings, baby showers, dinner parties, holidays, and more!
D. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSE BUSINESS

Out of the popularity of bread and pastry goods, the proponents

established a business that has a main goal of promoting something more unique and

special form of these. Aiming to give satisfaction to the customers as we incorporate

new various designs and flavors.

The advocates want to allow the buyers to experience tasty and delightful

experience eating the goods we offer.

The product is a combination of the lollipop and a cake, coated with

different dips and all-time favorite toppings.

The overriding goal of Sweet Delights Co is to spread delight to customers

with the pastries, especially cake pops. With the logo symbolizing the will of the

company to serve the customers the basket of variety offers. The syrup that represents

the smooth flow of the business as it achieves its vision to be a well-known pastry
maker sprinkled with bits of delight to satiate the cravings of the customer. The cake

pops on it represents how is the company will move forward with these particulars cake

pops.

E. LOCATION

The proponents plan to place the business at barangay San Joaquin, Sta. Ana,

Pampanga. It will be placed near Sta. Ana Parish Church, San Joaquin Elementary

School and public market of Sta. Ana. The students, workers and even the church goers

are the target regulars. More to that, it is also close to jeepney terminal where the

passengers will also be the prospect buyers. The business setting will be the proper

location to the business as it caters everyone.

F. VISION, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

Vision Statement

Sweet delights Co. will be a well-known pastry goods maker particularly serving cake

pops with unique flavors and toppings that bring incredible delight to customers.

To give satisfaction to the customers by serving delightful pastries and cake pops
