question.

1. The Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995

(i) What are the different steps involved in preparation of a Town


Development Scheme? Explain giving reference to the provisions in
the Act. (5)
(ii) What are the provisions available to the Authority for acquisition of
land? What are the prerequisites to be met before an Authority can
request the Government for acquisition of land? (5)
(iii) Can a person serve acquisition notice on the State Government
requiring the Government to acquire his land? If so under what
circumstances? (3)
(iv) Who has the power to evict a person from the premises of the
Authority? Is this in addition to the regular process under the Punjab
Public Premises and Land (Eviction and Rent Recovery) Act? Explain

Plan is in operation? Whom should a person intending to undertake a

2. The Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995

3. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act,


2005

4. The Indian Forest Act, 1927

(i) Can the State Government regulate some activities in any land not
owned by the Government? If so, what are the prerequisites before
the Government can issue any such notification? (4)

the powers of the Commissioner that he can not delegate? Can he

(iv) Who has the authority to enter and inspect any premises? For what
