Meeting with old friends

While living ordinary days, people need refreshment. Without it, life can be

boring. Normally, people have things that make them refresh. They can be watching

movies or playing games. In my case, the best thing gives me refreshment and rest

is my old friends. Meeting with old friends gives me to rest because of 3 reasons.

First, we usually talk about things that unimportant but funny. When we meet each

other, we talk in the cafe and get some coffee. Second, we talk about our

embarrassing high school memories. Third, we often talk about the impressive

exhibition where we visited together. And we sometimes discussed restaurant that

we are going to visit next week. All of these experiences make me feel relax and

comfortable. After I meet them, I get the energy to live every day. When I am tired

of my hard tasks or something irritating, meeting with my old friends helps me get

over it. Just talking and laughing with friends can help us make feel better.

We first met in high school. Because we were in the same class, we could

meet each other every day. When Sung-Jun who is one of my friends now sits next

to me, we became friends so fast. Because of his outgoing personality, I could easily
get along with him. Finally, he became friend with the rest of my friends. After the

examination, we would complain about our test scores. And we went to karaoke

and sing a song for three hours. We met each other when we are in the third grade.

So we had to prepare for the big test to enter university. We get through the period

of hardship together. Some of my friends who want to major in art did not appear

to school because of preparing for the practical tests. These days, we all get into a

different university. But we share common things that connect each other. Sharing

the same memory is the resource of our funny conversation. It is enough to say a

word to make us laugh because we share the same high school days.

My old friends are a total of seven persons. They have different

characteristics. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, Sung-Jun has the most

outgoing personality of our friends. In most cases, Sung-Jun starts joking about

things that funny and makes the mood. And one of my friends, Yun-Hye is the

most fashionable person of my friends. When she appears in front of us wearing a

red dress like a model in catwalk, I wanted to call her fashionista. Also U-Seup, So-

Jin, Hyeng-Sun is the most reserved person I have ever met. They laughed slowly
and quietly behind Sung-Jun when he starts joking. And Tae-Kyoung is so clever

that she enjoys criticizing using black humor. Lastly, Hye-Lin has the same interest

as me so we can talk about them all night. Sometimes I feel that it is mysterious

that we are friends. Because we are so different. But I learn a lot of valuable things

through them because they have aspects that I cannot have. We often laugh

because we are so diverse in behavior or thinking. All these things give me so

much fun.

As we are eight persons including me, it is hard to see all of my friends at

once. Each person has their own schedules. So, we usually consist of four or five

persons who can make their time. We live close by, so we can meet often. Whenever

we have free time, we can call anyone who is boring. When we meet each other,

we usually go to a cafe or restaurant. After we find our place to sit, we start talking

or doing our tasks. And because four of my friend major in arts related to design

or 3d animation, we sometimes visit an exhibition of graphic design or animation.

They often get a reference from the exhibition. They also give me information about

the graphics. For example, Adobe Illustrator which is a computer graphic program.
I'm also interested in the arts, so I can enjoy the exhibition with them. The good

thing is that I can deeply see the work of graphic design through their conversation.

When they are talking about the works of arts, it looks professional and cool. I feel

excited when I realized that my spectrum of viewing arts broadened.

In conclusion, meeting with my old friends makes me think that good

friends make boring life alive. Because of my friends, my high school days were so

much fun. They sometimes make me nostalgic about that time. When I talk with

them, sometimes I feel that I return to high school student. They evoke little things

about high school memories I have forgotten. Although we can't meet each other

every day as we were in high school, we are so intimate as if we met yesterday.

Because we are seven persons, I feel that we are in our classroom. Also, we have

all different character, so much diverse reactions come out. It makes me funny. They

also give me the opportunity to think about the mind of a person who is totally

different from me. So I can get a better understanding of people around me

through my old friends. And we sometimes visit the exhibition and talk about arts

and graphic design. In my ordinary life, it gives me refreshment. Through their

conversation, I feel as if I'm in a different field. For these reasons, I'm very thankful

for my old friends these days.
