the Marzano observations. Very useful to see how
observations work through the admins point of

9/20/2017 3 Monthly SIP / PTO meetings, Was interesting to see how enrollment can impact

change in award process with parents may want, and what is possible with time
new grading system and time and schedule. There has been parents upset with
lines. changes so far.

10/24/2017 2 Present HOM routine at staff Was able to share a thinking routine at a staff
meeting meeting, then reflect to everyone on how it
translates to the observation system. New teachers
were much more interested compared to veteran
teachers.

10/25/2017 2 Set up and facilitate WEB Team Helped create modified schedule, and lesson for
Time activity peer mentor groups. Was odd to help create a
lesson but never have to teach it.

10/26/2017 6 Subject Area Committee (SAC) - Looked at current social studies data to then modify
assessments and lessons. Was interesting to see
how much data is actually looked at.
11/1/2017 2 Meet with Elem Principal (Kim Met with principal of new building to ask what
Dancer) went into starting at a brand new elementary. All
the work behind the scenes pays off, and nobody
notices.

11/2/2017 4 Plan Parent and student This was a lot of phone calls and emailing to
assembly on social media and schedule, but really paid off when I got to see how
vaping issues the community reacted.

11/7/2017 3 Develop and introduce PBIS - Began a PBIS committee, decided to completely
Mustang Money change our current system. Curious t see how
launching something new goes. Will staff push
back?

11/8/2017 2 SIP / PTO meetings Discussion on changes to school code of conduct to


include new vaping language. Needed this year!

and pick up. There is no way for everyone to be

2/21/2018 6 Social Studies SAC Went over Final exam to make sure it properly
aligned with curriculum. Writing constructed
response questions that meet the exact
benchmarks is not easy, and take a lot of back and
forth with proper wording.

3/6/2018 6 Observation practice on This was awesome. Was able to go into four
marzano / Iobserve software different classrooms and observe other teachers
during the day using the iobserve software. SO
useful to put the training into practice. It is not
easy to observe, mainly because it is so fast pace
and you don't want to miss anything. Conversations
with teachers after was the best part.

3/10/2018 6 MASSP Aspiring Administrators Meeting with principals and superintendents from
conference around the state to just have open dialog about
their jobs was very worth while. Best part was
talking about how to stay connected to kids.

3/13/2018 2 Present MSTEP rules / schedule With very few changes it was easy to inform
at staff meeting everyone. New teachers had more questions.
3/13/2018 2 Assist with 5th grade visits It was nice to be able to see the admin perspective
on this. Introducing yourself that way is different
than as a teacher.

receives very minimum. I am impressed with how
well we do with such little funds compared to
others.

outline of the master schedule. So many things to

brought an advocate. Interesting to see dynamics
with an advocate.

9/14/2018 4 Prepared for and led interviews I have been in on interviews, but to lead them and
for new part time secretary. to think of interviewing non teaching spots was
interesting. Making the calls to those who didn't
get the job was tough.

9/21/2018 1 led evac drill first drill that I led, odd sense of responsibility for
drill.
11-Oct 6 Leadership and culture meeting with administrators from metro area to
conference discuss new ideas being implemented in their
schools. Was a great day, fun to get excited about
new ideas.

10/18/2018 6 5 practices of exemplary Topic was meaningful feedback. Presenter gave


leaders - session 2 great ways to give feedback to all stakeholders as
well as how to ask for good feedback on your self.

10/22/2018 6 Threat assessment training Oakland county threat assessment training. How to
identify transient vs viable threats. Sad reality but
really worth the time. Being above to look at things
from all angles can help prevent false accusations.

10/29/2018 3 Culture and Climate meeting Leaders from each SLCS school discussing ideas to
better our culture. Shared PBIS, and got ideas on
end of year celebrations.

11/15/2018 6 5 practices of exemplary Topic of trust and communication. Great ideas for
leaders - session 1 leading a staff and building trust along with solid
school culture.

11/19/2018 3 Disciple review meeting AP's from each SLCS secondary boiling meet to
review current discipline routines and look for any
changes. Great day to learn what we can and can
not change due to law.

17-Dec 3 Discipline review meeting Reviewed what a parent receives upon a student
suspension and how to make it more user friendly.

1/7/2019 3 Discipline review meeting Looked at cases from this school year to see if any
special education students that were suspended
should not have been due to their disability.

1/10/2019 6 5 practices of exemplary Topic was difficult conversations. Such a great day,
leaders - session 3 talking about how to plan for tough conversations
and to make sure your point is heard.

2/1/2019 3 Problem Solving Meeting on This type of meeting was great to be a part of.
student Using very specific protocals, we were able to get a
fresh look at how to help the student who has had
several different interventions in the past.

2/5/2019 2 Create schedule for Elementary This was something we have done in the past but
Student visits needed to be slightly changed. It was difficult to do
just because 8 elementary principals needed to
have their say.

4-Mar 1 Met with Assistant Super Met With B. Kirby about what s expected from
admin from the HR standpoint. I fet like most HR
issues are common sense.

building level from the supers point of view.

doing well. Looked into having rewards for the
students on this list with improved attendance.

conduct changes to the code of conduct. Difficult to
properly word exactly what is needed.

4/7/2019 3 Problem Solving Meeting on For a different student. This student I did not know
student as well and got to seethe meeting from a different
stand point.

4/23/2019 2 Plan / run ALICE Drill Was able to create a scenerio and then run it as a
drill with the help of school SRO's
5/1/2019 10 Planning 8th Grade Conference Created and planned our first 8th grade conference.
throgh 5-20- This was a lot of work and shoud be run by a
19 committee.
