WORKSHOP SAFETY RULES

As the workshop deals with different type of machines, it contains
many hazards. However, with proper safety rules, these problems can be
avoided. This manual is intended to outline the basic workshop safety
Rules.
1. Always listen carefully to the teacher and follow instructions.
2. Do not run in the workshop, you could ‘bump’ on other pupil and
may cause an accident.
3. Always wear an apron, it will protect your clothes and hold loose
clothing.
4. Wear good strong shoes. Otherwise, if any tool slips it may hurt
you.
5. During the practical work, all the stools should keep away.
6. You should not carry your bags to the workshop.
7. Do not switch on machine until you know how to operate it.
8. Always be patient and never rush in the workshop.
9. Always use a guard when working on a machine.
10. Keep hands away from moving/rotating machinery.
11. Use hand tools carefully, keeping both hands away from the cutting
edge.
12. Report any damage to machines/equipment to technician
immediately as this may leads to an accident.
