1.0 Purpose:
Purpose of this document is to brush up trainees on basic fundamentals of Market
Research and also the procedure used to collect and verify data. It will also help in
Understanding and guiding through

2.0 Scope:

Scope of this procedure is to outline the structure to be followed by Market


Research Team in accordance with the training.
5.0 Procedure:

5.1 Gathering Company list:

There are multiple way to collect the list of companies which needs to be
researched. But the few prominent way of doing it is by the way of LinkedIn,
simple, and third party sources Google search using Boolean key words i.e. and,
or, if etc.

5.1a Use of LinkedIn:

As demonstrated in the pictures below we need to follow few simple steps to


extract the companies.

a.1 Login to your LinkedIn account and click on Sales Navigator.

a.2 Click on advance option within the search box and select “search for
accounts”

a.3 the above action will lead you to advance filter option wherein you can
filter out companies based on criteria’s provided to you by your reporting
Manager/Lead. Examples of few criteria are highlighted below
5.1b Search using Google:

By using key words relating to your criteria you can easily find out third party
sources providing the details you are looking for. For example if you are looking
for list of IT companies in Hyderabad

5.1c Use of Third Party Sources:

There are few third party sources which would provide you with company
information most prominent among them are , InsideView, and
Fundoo Data.

5.2 Collecting Company Details:

ClientCurve has its own unique Data extraction Format focusing on collecting
data most relevant for BD process. Demonstrated with the marker in the pic.
below are the areas which we need to cover along while collecting company
information.
This information can easily be found on company website under different tabs.

Common Place to find these specific details are your LinkedIn ID’s you just need to
look for the company name on LinkedIn search tab to extract the information.

There also are other third party resources to find out company details sources like

and others.

5.3 Collecting Contact Details:

ClientCurve has its own unique Data extraction Format focusing on collecting
Individual info most relevant for BD process. Individual info contains person’s
Name, Their role within organization, Department they come under, their Title
and most importantly their professional/work email ID. Check the picture below
