COURSE POLICIES: REGULATIONS AND SPECIAL NEEDS


A. Student Attendance
a. In-class and other academic activities
1. Students are required to come on time. Student shall be considered absent if he/she comes to class 20 minutes after the
recommended time.
2. Student shall be considered DROPPED from the class if his/her absences reaches 20% ( 7 meetings)

B. Schedule of Classes

C. Classroom Policies
 Contribute to the learning environment in a positive, constructive manner
 Utilize the resources provided including: class material, handouts, and or online learning materials
 Attend each class meeting fully prepared, on time and willing to participate. Class participation is essential and expected
 All written assignment will be typed (double-spaced). Your paper should be free from spelling and grammatical errors. Assignments are to be
turned in on time. Use of outside resources aside from the textbook is encouraged and must be properly cited. Follow APA formatting guidelines
exactly.
 Seminar-Type presentation should be presented in a clear and concise manner, be relevant and have effective visual aids (MS Powerpoint). Good
eye contact and appropriate gestures, audible and modulated delivery is important. All presenters will equitably share group presentations. Each
group presentation should have invocation, introduction, lecture, freezer and wrap up.
 Class participation will be evaluated based on the quality and frequency of your evaluation, ability of your comments to motivate and engage
others in collaborative effort and contributions are timely and meet deadlines.
 Research and Final projects will be evaluated by the instructor and peers according to (a) quality and depth of the projects (b) creativity of the
approach (c) clarity of message and (d) quality of presentation to the class.
 Please note that ALL COURSE GRADES ARE FINAL.

 Students will be taking online exams- this will require them to be much more self-directed, self-motivated learner
 A 3-credit unit lecture class will be scheduled for three (3) hours a week, with a given University standard of a minimum of two (2)
hours outside of regular class hours a week for field work or action research.
 Completing assignments and Discussion board postings will be available in a timely manner and dates of accessibility will be listed
from time to time in the assigned online group.
 Most assignment have specific directions that must be followed along with specific grading criteria. This means that if you don’t follow
the guidelines, this means no credit for the element. The parameters and criteria of the assignments and projects are designed to
assess individual competencies in specific skills
 Always proofread all assignments, activities or projects carefully with no spelling, grammatical and or punctuation errors exist.
