World Building

Place/World: Aiguillios
(AY - GWEEL - EE - OH - S)

Genre: Fantasy

Time: 4000 years since the dawn of its civilization, 2900 years after the Isolation of
Aerilians*

*In the year 1100, it was decided that the Air-Borns (people that were born to the sky)
would leave the terrain of the Ground-Bounds (people that were born to the land) and
assemble a city in the sky. This movement was led by the Air-Born queen, Queen
Stratos.

Weather/Seasons/Climate: Due to its closeness in proximity to the Great Star, light

shines on the city much brighter and longer during the day than on the ground. The
clouds that pass through do little to shade the people from the burns of the light. Due to
the high altitude of its location, the general temperature throughout the year is much
colder up on the city than on the ground and the air is drier. During rainstorms,
Aiguillios experiences mass moist fogs as the nimbus clouds travel through their city.
Because the city is not built near a body of water to mediate the climate and is not
attached to any land, the climatal transitions between the different seasons are more
drastic. Not being attached to the ground means that the city does not become easily affected by natural phenomena such as earthquakes,
floods, etc. However, their greatest threats include hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.

Nature: Aiguillios is not home to many land creatures naturally, but which are brought up from the terrain to domesticate for agriculture and
labour. Birds are very common in the city for use of messaging as well as being pets. Plants, just like animals, are transported up to the city
from the ground and can be found in man-made nature spaces dispersed throughout the city.

Urban / Rural: Aiguillios is very urbanized, as that was the intention when creating it, so there is no rural area in its domain, save for
greenhouse areas that are solely for food production, almost all of which is vegetation. The innermost city is dense, filled with residential high
rises. All other crop foods (meat, dairy products) are cultivated from the terrain and are exported to Aiguillios.

Governance: Monarchy

Societal Hierarchy:
- Elite Class: Monarchy, Assemblage of Ambassadors, etc.
- Upper Class: Law Enforcement, Merchants, Healers, Successful Inventors, Educators, Religious Leaders, etc.
- Base Class: Constructionists, City cleaners, Laborers, Woodworkers, Steel Workers, Clothworkers, Garment Makers, etc.

Transportation: Most Air-Borns and Aiguillians are are born with wings which they use to fly. The citizens who are flightless travel and
transport by aircrafts, balloons, or big birds (rarely). The Elite and some of the Upper class can travel by carriage and gryffindor
World / Society values: Efficiency (in order for their man-made city to function properly and maintain a smoothness in running their society),
Spirituality & Inner Peace (though religion is not strictly binding, Aiguillians have a high respect for inner harmony and awareness of oneself),
Modernization (as a society of forward thinkers, Aiguillios strives towards advancements in all sectors; be it technology, health and remedies,
transportation, etc.)
