To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to express my interest in any available administrative and/or curricular, instructional, or
administrative vacancies that may be available in your school or district in preparation for the upcoming
2019-2020 academic year.

I believe that I am well-qualified for such a position and would be a dynamic addition to your team after
graduating from Oakland University with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Additionally, I also
completed my undergraduate studies at Oakland University, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English for
Secondary Education, with a minor in History.

For the past three years, I have taught English and History at Fitzgerald High School in Fitzgerald Public
Schools. In this time, I have been fortunate to have grown not only in my teaching and instruction, but
also in my leadership with a variety of experiences that have prepared me for future leadership positions
and/or opportunities, both personally and professionally.

During my administrative internship, I was fortunate to have gained extensive knowledge and experience
in working with Title I schools, including paperwork and documentation, programs, funding, and
demographic data associated with Title I work. I also have experience with instructional technology and
served as a technology leader to promote blended learning and innovative activities in the classroom to
enhance student learning. I am experienced with handling cases of student behavior and discipline and
using restorative practices to help mediate and settle issues with students and staff. I have knowledge of
federal and state reporting, including Count Day and graduation procedures and paperwork, as well as
work with school safety and trauma in the aftermath of events that our school community tragically
experienced.

Personally, I am a huge believer in cultivating a positive, engaging learning environment for all. I am
passionate about promoting and building school culture and spirit through extracurricular activities and
school/community events. Through this, I worked to build lasting partnerships with community
organizations, students, and families to promote school spirit, build excitement, and promote inclusion.

I would be greatly humbled by the opportunity to further discuss how my skills, experiences, and
passions can best serve your school, district, community, and most importantly, students and staff.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,

Brian A. Michael
