Letter to the Respondents
Dear Respondents,
Greetings!
We are Grade 12 students of Northeast Luzon Adventist College conducting a study entitled
“Students’ Choice of Secular Music and their Social Values System”. We are inviting you to
participate because we believe that your answers will be a great help in our study.
The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between secular music and social
values system. The enclosed questionnaire has been designed to collect information about the
said topic.
Your participation in this research project is completely voluntary. You may decline altogether
or leave blank the questions you don’t wish to answer. There are no known risks to participation
beyond those encountered in everyday life. Your answers will remain confidential and
anonymous. Data from the research will be kept in locked and reported only as a collective
combined data. Only the researchers do know your individual answers to this questionnaire.
If you agree to participate in this project, please answer the following questions as honest as you
can. It will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete.

ABSTRACT
This study focused on the relationship of the choice of secular music genres
and the social values system among the Grade 11 students of Northeast Luzon
design. The population was randomly collected among the Grade 11 students of
through the use of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Data were
analyzed and the findings were presented in the form of narrative reports and tables
listening to Pop music with a percentage of 42.9. On the other hand, the social
values system such as Utang na Loob, Bahala na, Respect for the Elderly, and
