Description : The Integration Services Layer (ISL) services architecture is based on the Service
Component Architecture (SCA) and Service Data Objects (SDO) specifications for the implementation of the OSS
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) services.The ISL provides a set of reusable services around the Fulfillment
and Inventory domains. These domains are delivered under the OSS program. The consumer of these services is
the Front of House (FOH) Sales domain. In addition, the OSS domains may consume each others services.The
services are realized through the abstraction of various strategic systems, Telstra legacy/heritage systems and
external systems.The ISL is based on the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design. Central to the SOA design

Description: Telstra is a telecom major in Australia and is currently undergoing transformation on a large
scale, where it is planning to eliminate legacy systems with all new service oriented OSS/BSS framework, And
Mediator forms a key part in this transformation project where mediator forms a common hub which receives
the requests from end system and transforms/executes the business logic on the request and send the
response to other end system. The Transformation initiative has revolved around SOA based reusable services
which can be invoked using SOAP XML messages over JMS/HTTP. The exposed services use WSDL and XSD
files which describe the structure of the input message and the exposed operations and attributes.
